Need help tapering off Methadone and get my life back!!

So I thought I was replying individually to all of your replys, but doesn't look that way though. Any who..... Update today is my 3rd day on 10 MG's, I dosed at 8 am, finally a little relief. They said today it would to 3-5 days for Thw Methadone to build up in my system? I have until Monday to put in for another increase. By then I should know if I can stabilize on 10. Praying I do, don't want to go up at all, but if I have to I will. Won't be stubborn, my stubborn ways got me into this predicament.

I think you are doing well at that dose, maybe stay on it while you get things going a little better for yourself. I too am not working due to health reasons...I know how it feels that you want to live a normal life but it is extremely difficult. I feel for you.

Basically no matter what you do you are going to have withdrawals from methadone. I would highly suggest getting some health services in place(detox/hospital care) for yourself so you aren't at risk of using, or damaging your weakened heart due to how intense the withdrawals will be. It also makes it a lot easier being around a doctor that can give you help through medications to keep you comfortable. I know this is not what you want to hear, but beating a dependence to opiates is some serious work. You may have to take a break from life in order to do it.

Good luck.

Indeed.
It's safer to be in hospital, maybe as in and out patient for a while.
If you seriously want to quit Methadone (and it seems you do) you'll need sometime to deal with that. You can't work and have and expect a normal life during the first months.
Physically speaking you'll probably be 'out of service' for one month or so.
Talk to your doctor.
