I'm a big opiate user. I started out with perc 10's, graduated to oc80's and was taking up to 600mg a day for almost 2 years supplied by a doc. The doc got shut down 6 months ago and I've graduated to full on H, 50 to 100 bags a day. I don't want to do this anymore I just want my life back. I went out and got 14 8mg sub strips to start the process but all week have had no luck. What I mean by no luck is that today around 2pm, about 20 hours after my last shot, I took an 8mg sub and went into severe withdrawls. I called my connect and got some H and it took the edge right off. I feel like such a pathetic person but I feel like I'm just stuck here. Does anyone know what the best, most painless way to switch to subs from a 50 bag habit is? If the answer is to just deal with the pain, I'm not sure I can do that. But I want to. I have a wife that loves me and thinks I'm only taking roxi's for my back pain. It would kill her to find out what I've been up to. I need to fix my life now. Any advice would be helpful.

One more question...
Being that I took the 8mg sub today and went into hard withdrawal for almost 2 hours until i could get the H, does that mean most of my receptors are plugged up right now? Tomorrow morning if I take another sub will I go into that crazy withdrawal again or is the worst behind me?

50-100bags a day? what do your bags weigh? if it's the standard 0.1g that's 5-10g a day which is large. anyway. anyway you look at its huge. are you injecting? where are you? i guess the best thing to do would be to look at clinic's around where you are which i am guessing is the US?

i don't know about sub that much, but you might either need to wait longer, given such a large habit i would imagine 24 hours after your last you'd be withdrawing pretty fucking hard already. anyway, you want to be withdrawing pretty hard before you take the sub. or that 8mg just isn't enough.

yeah they're supposed to be .1 but they've been looking smaller and smaller lately, which I guess is a good thing. Yes, injecting, and yes in the US. I really want to do this at home as opposed to a clinic. This whole week I've cut back to 50 tops, and them being small I'd guess that I've been taking about 3-4g a day. So would you recommend 16mg of sub tomorrow morning?

update....
so about 5 hours after the horror I went through this afternoon, and the h i stacked on top to help fix it, I gave the sub another go, but this time just 4mg instead of the whole strip. I ingested it about a half hour ago and I now feel surprisingly normal. If this feeling continues I think I'm in the clear, keeping my fingers crossed.

i really don't know man my habit never got that bad that i've had to use sub therapeutically. someone else should know.

you could try poppy tea, but i doubt that would help that much, as you'd have to use a large amount of it, and have to prep all the poppies, and drink mugs and mugs of nasty tasting tea. but, it may help you cut down. it lasts around 12 hours (tho for me i've never felt it beyond 3-4 hours, and my tolerance only went up to under 1g/day, but it kept me straight for 12 hrs or more), but if you take enough it will do the job, but it may be an unrealistic amount. basically, you use dried poppies (available quasi-legally and cheaply), grind them in a coffee grinder and use a cafetiere or something to make tea. it contains morphine, thebaine and codeine. as it lasts longer it will make the withdrawal less severe but more drawn out.

you could also try immodium, but again i imagine you'd have to take ridiculously large doses for it to be any use.

if you can use suboxone i'd say keep trying, there's a lot of information on here about it, but maybe try building up to a high dose to avoid precipitated withdrawal, i.e. start small and work your way up until you are comfortable.

good luck.

thanks iagainsti, I appreciate the tips. I'm still building up the subs with 4mg doses every few hours and no nasty WD symptoms yet. Maybe taking the 8mg all at once this afternoon is what did me in, I feel much more stable now.
