I got what was supposed to be mdma but the marquis reaction did not go black/blue as usual. As you can see from the pic, there are actually shards in there which look like mdma. Also attached is the pic of the test result. Any idea as to what this might be?

We cannot identify drugs through a computer screen. If you cannot get a good reading from a marquis test, throw it out, or send for gc/ms testing.

I sent the OP a PM, but I'll post it again here.

Yellow and orange are the reactions for amphetamine, and methamphetamine will turn a bit brownish like that after a while. So I can say with much certainty that what you have there is Crystal Meth. Meth is also commonly found in long needle like shards like that..
 
Haha me and my lady friend (recovering tweaker from years ago as well) only saw the bag of shards and both of us at the same time said Ooo Meth! Then i scrolled down and saw the pud. Definitely meth. Mmmm i'm starting to sweat a little and stretch my jaw looking at it....NO! NO! GET BACK YOU DEVIL!!!

Me and that bag just had a long meaningful stare too... and yeah my heart rate started to get a bit higher, if that shit was here it would be open before you could say "fiend".

Take it from me OP, I actually just smoked that shit for the first time a few days ago. You don't want it. I've pretty much spent the last 3 days smoking meth, being high on meth, craving more meth, and doing more meth.

Take that shit back.

I used meth for some time years ago, and honestly never found it to be very addictive. It never crossed my mind that this could be meth though, they guy is selling caps of this stuff to some people. Can this be ingested too?

I looked around a little and some sites suggest this could be mdpv? or mephedrone?

I actually wouldn't mind if this was meth, just wish the dealer didn't lie to me.

You can eat it, but it just doesn't do the trick. Pressers put meth in E pills or by itself and people eat those. I recommend getting a glass free base pipe and roll that bubble if you're going to use it. I would stay away from using it though. That shit will suck you in.
 
And one more thing...that dealer is dumb as fuck. A: he sold that as E, and B: he could have made a KILLING selling it as meth. To get that much at E prices is a total jackpot score my friend. E is a shitload cheaper than meth. That dealer is a fyackin dunce.
 
Yeah the needle shape is a pretty good sign of meth. It looks like cheap and dirty though. The only meth I'd touch back in my day was crystal clear and you could see right through it. See how foggy and clouded the needles are? That's some half assed dirty shit.
