Heroin need help from long-term IV users

ok, ive been using heroin 10 years and have been injecting for around 5. even though im quite good at finding and hitting even the smallest and deepest veins, ive now come to that awful point where i literally know nowhere else i can get myself on my own. perhaps i should explain that i have a metabolism that makes me extremely tolerant to all opiates, which is why i began shooting in the 1st place - ive tried returning to chasing but no matter how deep i inhale or how long i hold it does not remove my withdrawal-symptoms for longer than 10mins LITERALLY and is consequently of little use. my veins also seem to be very weak and short-lived despite clean works/good technique and the situation has become desperate. i need alternative IV sites that i can try. the following sites are where either the veins have collapsed, sunk beneath arteries or become too difficult to hit;

back of hands
fingers/thumbs
wrists (front/back),
arms (entirely gone),
feet/ankles,
neck (sides/front),
groin (both sides)

nb: due to the retraction of veins i am constantly hitting arteries. in fact my situation is so desperate i am regularly injecting into ARTERIES inspite of the excruciating pain and associated danger. PLEASE, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ARTERIAL-INJECT. IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS

i only do this after an hour or more of piercing myself in search of veins and even then it is something that will incur pain and aftereffects for days even weeks IN THE BEST CASE SCENARIO. any help will be much appreciated

WTF man, Jeezus - I think you know as well as I do that if your neck & goin are gone there's no place left to go. Arterial injection is not even a fucking option - you need help before you lose some limbs. You're gonna have to start smoking again - I know it's shit to begin with but once your tolerance is down a bit it will work, honestly. Unfortunately you've come to that point where you will never enjoy the gear again so you might as well bite the bullet and start the slow route to recovery. It's shit, but it's probably the best thing that could happen. Good luck man....
 
behind the knee maybe? becareful of arteries tho. I've also seen people attempt to hit in the area above the hip but I'm not sure exactlly where or how deep the vein should be.

damn that must be horrible man. I'm so happy I've been hitting the same vein in the same place for four years now and have had zero problems. sorry I don't mean to rub it in. fubar's advice is probably the best way to go before you loose a limb or something. again I'm sorry and I feel for u but shooting ain't worth loosing a limb or your life.

just thought of something else. take a break for as long as possible chasing or snorting while you work out and lift as much as possible. hopefully it will help heal some shit up and bring some veins back to the surface. maybe some new ones will pop up u didn't know were there.
 
Dang bro. i honestly dont know where u could hit up at (never iv'd) but one option u got is to get on subs for 6-12months and give ur body time to heal.

If smoking is out the q then i honestly dont see anyother route u could take.

have u tried the bottoms of ur feet?
 
if you dont have any veins left you can possibly be getting high, so just get on methadone. i mean, if there was ever a time to say "i give up" it would be now. you would still be getting your daily fix too. if you seriously do not even have you jugular vein left in your neck....dude, just fucking think for at least a couple seconds....cmon man.
 
hey, thanks for all the input. im on my phone right now so im just gonna go through the points youve all raised without addressing you directly; my tolerance doesnt seem to be the issue, ive had enforced breaks of a month plus while in jail etc with no appreciable difference upon resumption. A dr i know said its all to do with metabolism. EDIT: sorry, my replies keep getting lost. check back

sigh.. i know how bad it sounds. and dont worry about mentioning the ease you can get yourselves, im happy for folks who can do that. i cant get myself in my jugular, i had to get friends to do it...horrible experience, had to hold breath

believe me, i know how bad the situation is. what worries me most is if i should get run over or something how would the hospital get stuff into me. i know someone this happened to but they eventually got him in his neck. im having trouble posting right now, but ill explain more later. thanks to all
 
I for some reason doubt you've been injecting into your arteries time and time again. . Not trying to say you're a liar, but maybe a bit confused. If you inject in an artery, it'd be VERY painful and EXTREMELY hazardous to your health. Not to mention you'd also get no rush from it as the arteries carry blood away from your heart into smaller and smaller veins, etc. which is what causes the issues when injected into them. The particles from your shot get stuck as the travel into smaller pathways and your could essentially cut off circulation to a limb like this which could easily result in amputation.

As I said, not trying to call you out, just maybe correct you if you were confused. As far as advice on what to do, listen to what's already been said. Time to get help man. if you're truly not ready or able to get away from your addiction and onto at least subs or MMT, try to do some research on better injecting techniques. You can't be using very good IV practices if after 5 years most of your veins are useless. Taking a phlebotomy class maybe a good solution, but if you don't have the time/money to do so, at least research on your own as to the safest ways to IV. There's some real good resources for you if you look in the OD directory. Just search there for what you need and I'm sure you'll find some useful info.

my legs are the only parts of my body that are relatively untouched. any more info on leg sites you could get me would be much appreciated.

there are big veins that run from the groin up the hip, tho from memory theyre hard to hit. maybe i'll have a look.

lol. thanks for the input, but im not confused in the slightest. arterial injection IS extremely painful but if you go very slowly a bit at a time you can ride the 'electric burn' without it getting too intense. youre correct that you feel no rush but it DOES enter the bloodstream to the brain after a few seconds and take away withdrawal. you seem to know your shit though, wouldnt mind talking with you sometime

Sorry i should elaborate, i was hitting the fem with 1mls till like all my veins, they sunk. i then wrecked my groin with 2ml pins trying to get them. i know have huge thrombosis on both sides preventing me from going there right now, to say theyre gone was probably innacurate on my part. also im not saying im brilliant at IV'ing, but i am competant. just have v weak veins
