Bupe Need Help Fast!

So, I was not able to get enough H to keep me from withdrawling later on tonight, I know this because last time I took this dose, it was not enough and I withdrawled very bad starting around 10 pm. I work really late tonight and I really don't want to have to deal with withdrawals at work. I have 2 suboxone 8 mg sublinguals. I was wondering how long I have to wait until I can take subs with out getting the precipitated withdrawal effect and it helping me. i have heard all kinds of different things about this, my friend told me I wait until I start feeling like shit, but I read online that you have to wait 36-48 hours!!! What? Is this true? I don't understand what the point of suboxone is if you have to wait that long before taking it, I mean by that time you're already screwed and have probably been withdrawling for like 2 days so you might as well not take it. Also I was wondering if I could use Suboxone to just get off of the H in general. I don't want to be on suboxone for maintenance, I just want to get off of everything, I'm sick of this shit, and I was wondering if maybe I could get a couple pills and just slowly taper off so that I don't have to go through withdrawal very much. Is this possible? Please let me know this and when I can use suboxone safely.

Just take 2mg when you are moderately withdrawing. Yes, you can taper using them.

Yup. 2mg should hold you the first day. It lasts very long too, but also takes a good hour to fully feel it, so wait before re-dosing. If 2mg works for you, then to taper do something like 1mg the next 2 days, then .5 for a day, and either .5 or .25 the last day, then stop. It's not an exact science though, so take it 1 day at a time.

Nice, sounds relatively easy. Do you know if this will cut down the withdrawal a whole lot? when I stop completely Or will it be about the same?

It should help a lot. Just don't say on the suboxone for more than like 4-5 days, and keep the doses low.

I would take 4-8 mg right away if your getting bad w/d. I am sorry to say this but in my experience subs were not very effective with withdrawal. They benefited me slightly as a maintenance drug but even then was not nearly as effective as I wanted or needed.

It depends how heavy your heroin habit is.. the transition to bupe can be painless and actually you will feel 110% like right away.. or you might just get a slight bit of releif but stave off withrdawal from going further, or you will have a tough transition where the 1st 3 days are really kind of unbearable but by day 3-4 you are feeling a LOT better on bupe..almost fully adjusted. Or worst case you have a heavy dope habit, dont wait long enough, dose your bupe and get precipitated withdrawals.

Let us know how much heroin you use daily, when you rlast dose was and how big it was how you administer and we can recommend a good sub dose. Dont even think about wasting all 16mg in one shot.. it would be a waste and if 8mg is not making you feel better tacking on another 8 wont do shit.. its the nature of bupe, its finicky.
