Hi all. Been a while since I last posted. Please forgive if this is posted in the wrong section.

Up until June of this year, I was going to a PM clinic once per month to obtain my scripts due to a protruding disc in my back. I stopped going due to getting a new job and my significant other getting upset about my ongoing oxycodone useage.

I'm thinking I may start going back to the PM doctor. Since it's been 4 months, will I have to be referred again? I shouldn't have to, right? Also, how will that look after not going for 4 months? Obviously I don't want to tell the doc I was having oxy problems. Do you guys see this as being an issue or am I making more out of it than it really is??

I'd appreciate the feedback!!

If you want to go back, just call the office and ask them if you need a new referral (thought IME once you've gone to a doctor's office they'll take you back...they like getting your co-pay). And just don't tell the doc about you having an oxy problem if you were. Simple as that...There is a pain management mega thread in Other Drugs btw...

Sorry, we don't do questions about what to say/not say to your dr to get prescriptions or questions that are purely speculative (we really can't know whether they will take you back after 4 months or what they will think - although assume they will at least want some kind of explanation as to why you stopped going for 4 months). All you can really do is, as Jktm said, call them and ask if you can get an appointment and go from there.

Please PM me if you have any questions.
