It seems most everyone on here dislikes meth with a passion, and I get it. I do understand because I’m not a total idiot, well yet at least.

I am aware of what it’s doing to my body and my best-educated conclusion is I am on the verge of complete rhabdo/hospitalization/ something else horrible happening in the meantime so yes, I know quitting now is the best answer.

What I’d like to know are peoples stories and experiences of their personal rhabdo and how they knew it was time to go get treatment, etc. Everything they felt, symptom progression, all of it. Please….
I just really can’t handle a lecture right now so please be as nice as bluelight possible.

Rhabdomyolysis causes muscle pain, muscle swelling, brown urine from myoglobin. It is treated with diuresis, either drinking by lots of fluids with electrolytes, or iv fluids. If untreated, it will cause kidney failure, electrolyte imbalances, and liver damage. I’ve never had it from stimulants (that i know of)m but did get it once from overexertion. If your urine is visibly brown, you need to seek medical attention. It must take a lot of meth to cause this to happen, but then again, I landed in the hospital from too long of a run after not exercising during the pandemic. Also, I’m not a doctor, so see one if you’re worried.

Go check into an ER. If your CK levels are above 1000 they'll want to keep you overnight and hook you up to a high volume IV and just ouch fluids through you. It's the only way to get rid of it.. I'm not a user, but dehydrate horribly and have trouble uptaking electrolytes and fluid..

Seriously, all they will do is flush you out with an IV until your CK levels are normal..

I did this 3 weeks ago.
