Hi, This is my first post here and I really appreciate any advice I can get, Ill make this as fast as possible.
1. I am posting this here because I hurt my hand on a table saw, sawed through the top of my finger.
2. So My Licensed Doc gave me 120 7,5 /325 Norco pills take every 6 hours as needed for pain.
3. I am healed up now to the point where I don't think I need a narcotic pain killer, just some Aleve

But, I am super super emotional, crying at the drop of a hat and that's not me, I am also extremely grumpy / grouchy and have ZERO patience, also not like me.....
I am also feeling tremendously nauseated, almost to the point of not being able to see well or do very much. Last night I fell asleep with my head resting on the rim of my toilet just praying to vomit.

When the injury 1st occurred I was taking 4 a day as prescribed but on work days I would take 1 and a half at a time, pretty strong stuff, it would make some pretty serious pain go away.

My question is this, I have been taking them for about 3 weeks, I don't want to call my Doc, he is going to tell me to come in and I don't have the $$ for that. I don't want to call the pharmacy because where I live, due to the law on this drug, the pharmacy has to call the Doc.

1. So how do I taper off this crap? I have about 60 or so left
2. Am I better off just stopping cold turkey?
3. How long will it take for these horrible side effects to go away?

No other drugs to speak of other than 4mg of xnanx a day which I have been on for 15 years (PTSD) and I am and always have taken that as prescribed and isn't the problem. None of these emotional / angry / heavy nausea situations started until I was on the Norco for about 2 days.
Now I feel like taking them to "feel better" but not for the purpose they were prescribed, I feel an addiction coming on that I want to stop immediately.
Thank you for reading this!

I don't think taking 60 of them over 3 weeks is going to have any withdrawal effects on you, but to taper off I would take 1 in the morning then wait until you feel bad again then take 1/2 of one if that made you feel better then wait till you feel bad again and take another 1/2, then gradually take less and less pretty simple really, you get the drift.

This is classic PAWS. You're in withdrawal. The doctor can and should apply a taper plan for you. You sound as though you've become physically dependent and the psychological dependency of "taking them to feel better" is beginning to present itself.

3 weeks is a decent period of time to catch the dependency. I'm not too knowledgable on tapering off these meds so I dunno what you can do. I know users use benzos to relieve the anxiety and weaker opioids such as Imodium (Loperamide) to ease the withdrawal symptoms.

Telling your doctor about it would be the best. You should mention that you do not wish to take those pills anymore and he can decide what to do from here. Otherwise you can look through these threads here in BDD and in OD for dealing with withdrawal.

Read this article on it for some more insight.

I hope this helps.
