I am a cpp who currently takes 30mg MS Contin ER and 15mg Morphine IR tabs. I'm supposed to take both of them 3 times a day, but I take them all at once. My tolerance is getting up there to where that isn't enough to kill the pain and give me the warm fuzzys, so I've been taking 4 of each in the morning, and maybe another 1 of each in the afternoon. So my total daily tolerance is around 180 mg at once, and I chew them all up and swallow. My question is: I want to try plugging them but I walk the fine line of not wanting to do too much and OD but I also dont want to do too little and basically waste them. I know HOW to do it, I just need advice on HOW MUCH to do. I know there is a lot of uncertainty of the bio availability of oral vs rectal. should I start out with half my daily dose? Plug all IRs or ERs? Some of both? Plug the same dose I take orally?

Considering your tolerance, administrating morphine orally has little or no recreational value. The bioavailibility is far too insignificant to cause any euphoria outside hazordous doses and placebo.

Oxycontin is a time released form of oxycodone, delaying the metabolization to last longer by crippling the potentacy. These time release agents aren't just around the capsule, they're mixed with the drug as well. Simply crushing the pill won't guarantee potentacy similiar to oxycodone.

Plugging morphine or oxycontin will only grant a VERY miniscule raise in bioavailibility.

How exactly were you planning on Plugging these meds?

Plugging it only increases the bioavailibility by 10-30% at most, so i wouldn't think that would be worth sticking shit up my ass for.. If you must though, use the ir and peel the coating off, start at a low dose until you know how your body will react. It sounds like you need to get to the root of the problem and have your Dr switch you to something stronger.
