I had indulged quite a bit with Oxyfast and Vicodin/liquid hydrocodone over the last couple months, ie. 600mg of the oxy over the course of a couple weeks with significantly less hydrocodone use at about 100mg. I was extremely irresponsible with my acetaminophen intake throughout in regards to the latter, mainly because I mistook the 4000mg per day health limit as per dosage. Last night I took a 22.5mg dose of hydrocodone with 1500mg acetaminophen after 2 weeks without and had mild but notable effects as I had accumulated a tolerance quickly. After a little bit I became intensely tired which wasn't particularly odd until I noticed that my vision was very gradually fading to black. After about 5 minutes of hoping it would go away it only worsened to the point where I could see next to nothing. This was accompanied by muffled hearing and ringing in the ears. I tried to make my way down the stairs in order to be visible if I passed out but found myself so disoriented and dizzy I stumbled my way down a few steps and had to sit on the stairs. I sat there for about another 15 minutes half-deaf and essentially blind and waited for it to subside, which it eventually did. Afterward I had a lingering visual effect of blurred spirals in the peripheral vision of my right eye for about 20 minutes. My questions are: what would most likely be the cause of this? The hydro? The Apap? Etc? And is it so unusual to have such a prolonged state of near blackout? I only had the sensation once when I was young which was not associated with drugs and subsided after about a minute, I had actually thought of it as a near-death experience at the time (approximately 13 years old) and never associated it with blacking out until after this incident so it was a pretty frightening experience honestly.
