placebos work. homeopathy is like this, it gives you the idea of positive thinking healing.

check research done on religious people being sick having better life and survival compared to those using what medical community deems "actually proved to help meds".

it means, i dont need to read any medical journal on what "works" when it cannot work at all or work based on how i perceive it.

As has been said, homeopathy works BECAUSE it exploits the placebo effect. If you did a double-blind study with three pills, pills A, B, and C, where:
a=sugar
b=homeopathic concoction
c=any pharmaceutical drug w/ REAL activity
Then A and B will almost certainly have some results, and these will AUTOMATICALLY be the same results. C will have better results than A and B.

Yes, homeopathic products will give many people results. These results would have been obtained whether the manufacturer used duck-liver stew, or whether he ground up tic tacs. The argument for homeopathics' effectiveness is ONLY as good as the argument for the placebo effect. If you can't wrap your head around that, and instead say "homeopathy works", while denigrating true pharmaceuticals, you need ur head outta ur ass so you can read this thread a few more times. I think this issue's been beaten well past the point that anyone who's not a 'true believer' will realize that homeopathy, as an industry, is just a fanciful way of selling people the placebo effect at a higher price than stamped-sugar.

wrong. pharmaceutical are also affective as, or worse more detrimental to one's existence compared to sugar pills. based on what little human mind can understand in current time, we managed to create enough chemicals to actually work (after many many years of trial and error) and yet still no conclusive pharmaceutical exists with absolute ability to work 100%. not one pharmaceutical on the market works for everyone and individually perfectly. so how are pharmaceuticals any more affective ?? because the people being brought by huge amounts of money in research say "it is better than placebo" ?
