NBA Draft '09 - The Aftermath - & The Offseason

So it's been and gone what do you think. It's not like the top pick was ever a debate and it's actually a pretty talentless class in the overall picture of who is going to make an impact in the future. Any steals or misses... ??

I know I might be biased because I am Australian, but how did Patrick Mills fall to 55? Portland must have been laughing.. Mills could of and probably should have gone top 20-25

The draft did play second fiddle to Shaq to the Cavs and Carter to the Magic. I personally don't think Shaq back in the east is going to make much difference and I was excited about Carter until Hedu opted out of his contract..

Thoughts?

Now things start to get interesting.

Pistons with two bad signings in Gordon and Villanueva imo.

Artest reportedly will sign with the Lakers. Wow. Bye Ariza. Odom will likely stay now.

Ariza to the Rockets perhaps? Cleveland?

Hedo to Portland?

Mavs resign Kidd for 3 years and 25mil. Not bad for an old timer.

Toronto looks the goods to sign Hedo. What does that mean for the Matrix?

Grant Hill could be going to absolutely anyone at the moment

Celtic signing 'Sheed... That team could be deadly if they all stay on the court. But I think it's more of an insurance policy as one of the Big Three are more then likely to miss some time with all the old bodies on board.

My team the Jazz keep Boozer and Okur, so I don't know how they are going to clear some space for Millsap. Paying Luxury tax on a good team, that isn't likely to contend in the Final is a bit of a waste (I'm being realistic here)... I'm surprised boozer opted in, as his ex wife will get exactly half the money he makes. If he had of opted out and just signed a $7mil contract he'd make more money in his pocket.... Oh, just read.. Possibly Boozer for Rip Hamilton trade.. :) :)

Jefferson to the Spurs also make them dangerous.

Rumours have Iverson to the Bobcats if he agrees to a bench role.

^^^ did you hear our man Patty Mills broke his foot on the first day of training camp.

That mans bones are made of chalk, i swear.

Yeah I read that.. Although I dont think he would/will get a roster spot this year, he will be a d league superstar!
