:::Announcement from the Asylum Nightclub and True Productions:::

As many of you know we at the Asylum have been working hard to bring our venue back up to code for the building department and fire marshalls. Most of this work is complete now and we are going to be re-opening our doors for Naughty By Nature!

We would like to thank you for helping us through this period! Be sure to come down and check out the changes we have made to the venue!

grr, helps when i actually read the stuff. $30+ sounds like a more reasonable price I would expect.
 
Thank you to all who have shown interest in both Naughty By Nature and Asylum. We apologize for not getting any official word out before this. We wanted to assure we ourselves had the most accurate information.

After many great years of underground events Asylum will be closed indefinitely. We will have more information as we receive word.

As far as Naughty by Nature : The Pajama Jam

This event will still happen with confirmed lineup including the debut of Paladin 5.1!. It will take place at the

Muni - 485 Main St., Hartford, CT .

Since we do not have the burdens the Asylum entails weekly, we are putting full effort and production upgrades into the Muni for this one night. Special reinforcement sound, lights, Lasers, visual screens and other atmospheric eye candy is already on its way over to this event. We have taken pride in the productions we have done at Asylum and will do the same with muni. We Noted all problems at GET LUCKY and have already taken the steps to ensure a magical and fun night for everyone.(which include a bathroom attendant and more stable and powerful sound system).

This event is still 100% on,All tickets will be honored for this event and we are going all out to make sure the loss of New England's most popular underground venue does not take away from the vibe of the night. We will do the best we can to answer your questions. We know all of you TRU-Englanders, NYers, and anyone else who has supported the Asylum, will make the best of this situation and come represent for Naughty By Nature, the naughty nighty pajama jam.

Say what you want about how shitty it was, but I've had some awesome times there, heard some amazing music, and made some incredible friends. I assume that this is it for large venues in this area what with all the legislation that's being passed against these parties. I guess now it's off to New York when I want to go out, which should be interesting seeing as how I've never been to a party there before. We'll see how it goes.

I am still excited for this weekend though. I had fun at Get Lucky and I'm sure I'll have fun at NBN too. I'll take being crammed into the Muni over missing a night of good music any time. :)

I agree. As crappy as the asylum might have been, it was the last running large venue in New England.

Yeah, you've got that right. It was pretty much accepted that before Kaos/Asylum came around, there simply weren't any large-scale "rave" events in the city of Springfield and few (if any)in Western Massachusetts.

I'm more grateful than ever to have been able to take part in some of the events thrown there. I hope people stop and take the time to appreciate the things we still have left and do something to help create something positive and new!
