I recently watched the episode involving Ketamine, aptly titled "Ketamine". It simply fascinated me how factual and marginally biased the documentary was, this is an incredibly accurate depiction of most users (to my knowledge). The reporter's coverage of production, trade, and use really makes me want to watch more media like this. Anyone have any recommendations? Also what do you think about this video?

Sorry if this is in the wrong board, it seemed to fit.

I really like that show!

I've seen the following:

Hashish
Cocaine
Ecstascy
Prescription drugs (mainly focused on opiates)
Ketamine
Heroin
Marijuana

I found all of those rather interesting, especially the one on prescription pills.

Agreed, they are great documentaries, just caught the ketamine one recently.
Haven't seen the one on prescription pills though, I'd love to see that.
Very interesting indeed.

I found them all interesting, but the K one was kind of over the top I thought. They picked some pretty hard addicts to focus on. Still fun to watch tho, but they could have shown some users of K that are not so fucked up and have a good time once in a while on it kind of thing. If I recall one of the guys went so hard he cant pill properly os something anymore right?

They are all on Youtube, or they used to be, in full... just search for drugs inc.. or on torrents.

i really enjoyed the one on hash, not so much the weed one though, it sucked.

think this has been discussed before but either way i enjoyed the series, could have been better but i learned a lot of things as well.

They're alright I guess, however the one on "hallucinogens" was really biased and portrayed in a bad light, even though hallucinogens are the least harmful of the drugs they "researched". Imo.

I agree, I watched that one. I really liked the one on ketamine. There are tons of prescription drug documentaries, I feel like that one has been overdone.

I've seen a few of these, got a couple recorded on the old sky box I sstill need to get through, ecstacy and prescription pills I think.

Is the hallucinogens episode the one where that guy suffers from intense migraines and uses magic mushrooms to alleviate them? if so I vaguely remember seeing it and am wondering what happened in it to make you believe they were portrayed in a bad light?

I like those shows to, i think every show is hinting at trying to get others not to use at some points of the shows though but that's expected on public TV imo. I think iv seen all them, had most of them recorded on DVR but i switched companies so now i have zero drug shows on tv at the moment, bummer. Yeah on the psychedelic 1 it has the older guy who uses/grows psilocybin mushrooms for cluster head aches, also has the guy who claims to have permanent damage from a LSD bust in it.

there is these other 2 shows i really enjoyed on the history channel ones the history of cannabis and the other is just the history behind eges of drug usage, the 2nd one is my fav pretty good 2 hour show.

'our war on drugs' a 3 part series from a few yrs back is good if anyone hasn't seen it, its on youtube and torrents.

haha huh?

So far I found their objectivity pretty admirable.

They don't hesitate to point out risks though, as in the case of bladder issues from Ketamine use.

Going to watch the Hash one probably tonight.
