National BL Meetup: NYE, Melbourne. Is it possible?

Well kiddies. it seems a 'national' meetup is not going to happen. But if efforts we're made to get as big a meetup as possible for each state, including those who will be in that state from other parts of australia, would be cool eh?
So I raise my hand to find out what is happening in Melb on NEW YEARS DAY, considering the chances of a New years eve meetup is pretty low. I think getting a bigger meetup is more likely at a NYD celebration, not a NYE one.
I shall be here, in Melb. I shall endevour to find out the best thing that we can all go to on NYD, to welcome in the new year.....
May I suggest Other cities do the same. One large meetup would be kewl, but let's face it. It aint gonna happen. But considering we seem to having an interstate Bluelighter exchange program happening over NY, why not have big meetups in each city....
Show your interstate Bluelighter how well u rock!

So when every state has the NYE/NYD *officail* so that meet-up interstaters know where to go.. :)
 
Well depending on what's happening on NYE I think I'll leave most of the meetup stuff till NYD. I'd like to spend this one with at a house party or something, don't think I'll go to Welcome this time.
 
I only heard bad things about field days too.. I'll be wherever RR is, and hopefully meeting all the people he loves so dearly in Melbourne. Like he says, I'm all about meet-ups :)
I don't think there's much hope of getting everyone together.. how about two big parties, one Sydney, one Melbourne and some kind of satellite (crazy ;) hook-up? *grin*.
I agree with the next day meet-up, although going to one big event then partying on with the same group of people for the next 3 days would be wicked :) :D .

EDIT: by the way the boys are playing 33.3 on NYE. but they will be playing the warehouse at some stage. even if i have to pay for it myself!

I have NFI where i will be new years eve, but as long as im with friends and happy and not scatty ill be a happy camper.
For me it will be either Melbourne or Sydney.
Anything after December 6th is a REAL BLUR to me atm as ill be finished uni and will be on the lookout for whatever life throws at me. So WHO KNOWS!
Its too early to plan ;)
 
When it comes to NYE, it's never too early to plan - you'll wake up on Dec 6th and all the tickets will be sold, there'll be no spare beds and the pills will cost twice as much.
