National BL Meetup: NYE, Melbourne. Is it possible?

Any of the *cool* Melb BLers are welcome to stay at my house for the days before/days after field day. It's about 1 1/2 hours drive away from Sydney but it's an absolutely stress free environment 100%

It really makes me wonder why everyone is so excited about field day. Anyone who I spoke to who went last year said it was too farking hot and there were too many people. I cant think of anything id rather do less on nyd than be outside in the boiling sun all day in a thick sweaty crowd, I dont care who's playing.
Besides, i dont even like breaks.
 
I'm going to do either nothing, or go to some small house party probably. NYE is overrated, and the only time I've ever had a really good one is when I've planned on doing nothing at all. :)

im personally going nowhere interstate on NYE/NYD. id say the Eclipse is a good idea.
 
on a somewhat related note, can people closer to the source post some info on whats likely to be happening in melb on nye...I was looking for some info on welcome 2003 but couldnt find anything....
 
i wanna go to field day but i dunno. hopefully il be in another country with a whole new group of people and a whole new life. but knowing me il just end up at something ghey nye and then field day...
can i come jb? i miss cali
