*coughs* AND Adelaide... *spanks RR*
Melbourne for NYE is definitely something Druid and I will think about... :)

sounds like a good idea...
but do i think it would work?
yep, it'll work... but how do u classify a "meet-up"?
Twisted republic in CBR was AWESOME!!! even tho i was very very very new to all this, it was great to meet people who were out to party hard cos they had invested so much time and money in the mission... and that inspires everybody else to do the same, go harder and take more risks... it all works out to make an excellent weekend...
if we can get some IS people to come along, that'd make it a meetup in my eyes... but i also would regard a meetup as having any more than 8 people there... so yeah... its gonna happen... :)

RR: eildon is great, but philip island is a completely terrible place for NYE, far, far too many fights! You couldn't go anywhere unless you had a mean n' nasty looking posse. Does ne1 know about that guy who copped an axe in his head and wouldn't get into the helicopter because he wasn't an ambo member on NYE 2000 @ philip island? He passed out and they took him anyway!
Back on topic, maybe a kinda new years eve BBQ is the way to go as not many people have partee commitments at 1 pm. Platters of disco biscuits, K salad and G spiked punch for all!

Tabernacle: the eildon and PI suggestions were because I have places at both. But I do agree, Phillip Island would be an exceptionally bad place for Bluelighters on NYE.

Love you all but right now my heart is with Field Day 2003 at the domain in sydney.
I wish I could be with everyone and if field day falls through for me you can bet your ass that I'll be in melbourne with you lovely lads and lasses. I want you all in a 'more than friends' kind of way and you know that. If I can't make it then I'll try to arrange a life size doll of me that spits out random quotes at irregular intervals.
Spitroast and be well :) SDB :)
------------------
oooh.. it's too hot today

^^^ Life size doll.... Nice. what happens if we give it a bickie :)
I think its an awesome idea but one mighty mission. Eildon is an sweet as place but wouldn't all the inter-staters find it near impossible to get to???
I think if Melbourne is the go then Summadayz on news years day would be good. Most ppl in melb that keep on kicking end up there anyway, and then all the blue lighters could just claim an area in the botanical gardens, always fun ;)
But i must admit that is what i will be doing any way so I'm biased.

I'm really liking the idea of huge recovery meetup. Even if everyone didnt have other commitments NYE, not everyone has the same taste partywise.
However if we were going to do a huge recovery, it would have to be somewhere you can get to easily while scat, and can hopefully give a fair few people the option to crash there.

Money Permitting, I think I would be up for Feild Day.. Depends on what job I have in mind.. anyone up for a roadie from Melbourne?

baby yes yes!!!!
come to melbourne yes!
:D
and bring more perth kids.
all the way. WA. and such.
*biased but fair*

I'd like to do more, but it's difficult when I'm on the other side of the country, and haven't been over east before. ;)
General consensus seems to be NYD instead of NYE. People are in agreement with that?
If so, let's build from there. :)

i believe new years day should be spent at the domain in sydney. nothing could ever beat Field Day especially with a line up like Plump DJs, Soul of Man, Rennie Pilgrem, Freq Nasty, LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad...sweet heaven!!! between us all the sydney people could put you up and we could do something cool like FOD at the superdome, utopia, subbies or Altitude for NYE...kushti? i knew you wouldnt let me down...i knew it!! we always go to melb...now you come to us!!

BUT how are u guys coming over on NYD after a big NYE?????
shouldn't u guys try to make it over to a place before NYE instead??
get ur representative from each state.
decide on a state to go to. I guess melbourne ;)
decide on the event.
go on from there. i doubt NYD is good ..... coz i wont be thinking of travelling interstate on NYD. imo

new years day!!!!!
that would soooo kick asss
be all like scat and walking into trees, then meet up with lots of other scat people and go hugging and shufling trees
go listen to good music, hug the floor, run around, bounce, fall over, get up, watch the goodies, have drinks, ummmmmm :]
in a park or on the beach, mabey even at some ones house if its big
yay for meet ups

Field Day Field Day Field Day!!!
All you Melbourne people bitched and moaned and whinged last year about the line up at Field Day and that "Melbourne is the dance capital of australia why don't we get that line up" bitch moan whinge.
So come to Field Day...make the trip up to Sydney for a change instead of relying on Sydneysiders to go down there for national meetups. Beautiful Sydney weather, no chance of rain, and a party put on by a very reputable promoter with awesome acts:
freq nasty
scratch perverts
LTJ bukem & MC Conrad
plump DJ's
Krafty Kuts
sandy rivera
dimitri from paris
felix da housecat
Come and join the Sydney breaks massive. You konw you want to ;)

im going to be down in Melbourne for Earthcore. I hope to meet some of the melb crew then. but unfortunatly i wont be able to make a nye meet up down there.

* Freq Nasty
* Plump DJ's
* Krafty Kuts
I am thinking Field Day as well. Get a nice plush apartment for a week and spend it just kicking back.
Mmmmmm sounds good......
