Obama also said raids on medical dispensaries would stop under his presidency, going on like a year, and he finally seems to be getting to that issue....
You voted for someone who's vice president wrote the RAVE act..... Have you ever read the rave act? rave promoters are apparently luring kids to these underground dance parties, feeding them drugs, dehydrating them for the purpose of selling them overpriced water, and destroying the youth of America...

not to make things political but the only "change" i have seen is paying more money for cigarettes.....
Which is kind of bullshit considering obama's promise of "there will be no new taxes affecting anyone who makes below 6 figures" or something along those lines.....

That's wishful thinking at best, delusion at worst.
Obama is no different than any other politician, in fact he's much worse in the sense that he's extremely cold and calculated with his political strategy; there is absolutely no way that Barack Obama is going to risk his political career over the issue of drug legalization.
His official stance is that "legalization is not in his vocabulary." He has stated repeatedly that he does not consider the issue of cannabis/drug legalization to be an issue that's even important enough to warrant discussion about; in fact he literally *laughed* at the issue of cannabis legalization during a nationally televised question and answer session.
If you think that Barack Obama is interested in legalizing drugs, you are grossly misinformed!

Yeah, Obama is incredibly charismatic and a great public speaker; which is why I think a lot of people like him. I know I liked him a LOT when he first got in and I still think he's a whole lot better than what we've had for the past 8 years.
The thing is there's something about him that doesn't sit with me. He has everyone right where he wants them; lots of people like him and he's very charismatic. It just feels like he's saying one thing, getting people to like him and behind closed doors doing something else.
One thing's for sure he's not doing anything for reducing prohibition that's for sure.
There may be a glimmer of hope at the end of his second term for a loosening of some things, but maybe not. He's certainly not going to risk his career over this stuff.

At least do something with that wretched War on Drugs.. I'm not sure how that's not a concern of his. I haven't been following Obama's views on this, but I'm pretty sure he has a brain. Clearly, it's doing more harm than good. Clearly, they're spending billions of dollars for nothing.

after watching that program i think a lot of people will wish that LSD or Bromo-LSD were legal for medical purposes..
and it got me to thinking - what is LSD doing at Schedule 1? it doesn't really have potential for abuse, addiction, physical damage, etc and now we see that it does have medicinal value... hmm..
maybe once weed is legal we can start the discussion on psychs...

Heroin is supposed to be a more effective intravenous opiate for relieving pain than its brother morphine.....
Obvious medical use, there is just such a stigma against it....
Meth is not even considered schedule 1, you will still be raped for possession but its considered 2 i believe. Narcoleptics and fat people. But yes the drug that is "destroying the nation" is fucking available through a liberal enough doctor....
Coke is also schedule II.
I don't know why they don't just reduce it down to II, coke and meth have more medical value than weed apparently.....

In the UK diamorphine is Class A (equivalent to Schedule I over there) thus classified as having no medical value along with LSD, MDMA, cocaine and a load of other stuff which also has possible medical value. But it is (very rarely) prescribed under certain conditions. Basically, it seems that if you're dying in agony and in a hospice you might get it but probably not. Needs a special licence to prescribe, I believe, but has also recently been used to successfully treat/stabilise/maintain chronic heroin addiction in a coupla pilot studies here - was more widely used many years ago but seems to be regaining a foothold in medical practice

this is a good idea.. i first heard about it on that show house and thought it made perfect sense.. in 2 episodes, one with a kid who is treated with low doses of psilocybin for cluster headaches, and in another house injects himself with nitroglycerin to bring on a migraine headache (in order to test another drug that is designed to help with migraine headaches) and kills it with acid.. very good idea and makes a lot of sense.. but i can imagine pharm companies taking all the fun out of these drugs and adding stuff to them that'll kill you if you try to take a psychedelic dose
