Opioids Nasal Vs. Oral- Why does oral Oxycodone not work for me?

If I take IR Oxycodone and use it orally it feels like such a waste which when I snort it i feel it, it should be the reversal of this right, or atleast I should feel the oral more? Now if I take the XR of Oxycodone the OP's and chew them up I can feel them orally. When i take 60mg of IR Oxy orally i cant really feel it, Vs. 80mg of the XR i feel pretty nicely, which doesnt release its full dose immediately.

I am so mind fucked by this... I will have 270mg of IR Oxy for friday. I would like some kind of postulation or guesstimation on why this could be.

Are you on meds for acid indigestion? If your stomach contents are too basic then that might lower absorption.

My only other guess would be that if you started your oxy use by insufflation then you may have a slightly skewed perception of how potent the oxy is orally.
Insufflation causes a short but intense high, while oral use has a slower, milder onset.

Is it possible that the drug is working fine but your expectation is a little high due to a history of insufflation?

Possibly, The first time I tried oxycodone was insufflation. The only thing that gets me is that when I take Oxy XR (OP) that if I take 80-160mg orally that I get a nice nice high, but if I take Roxis orally I dont get that same high... Its like I feel that the Roxi's don't have the MG of Oxycodone in it that they say they do. It feels like a huge waste to me. I get the A215's so I know they are 30's.

It's like I believe that Roxis are for insufflation and OP's are for eating. It just seems thats how you should take those. IDK Maybe its psychological.

Can anyone say for certain that if they have a habit of say 160mg Oxycodone that Roxi's or OP's at that same MG and same ROA (Oral) produce the same effect?

Well, I dont have any personal experience with oxy but from what I hear the roxi's are quite popular.
If your oxys are coming from a proper pharmacy (as opposed to a shady 'net pharmacy) then they have to contain the amount of drug thats stated in the packaging.

IDK....i think alot of this is likely psychological as oxycodone is absorped so well orally.
You might have trouble breaking down a certain filler in the roxi's...maybe.

Have you tried crushing the roxi's as you would the OP's and parachuting the powder?

No, I have always been afraid to crush to powder and transfer to some vessel for fear of losing anything. Even when I crush to snort I get anxious that I will lose something and I comb my paper or dollar that I put on top to make sure I have gotten it all. I get very fiend like and anyone who crushed it and lines it up with their fingers or doesnt do it like I do I get all WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?!?!?!

Yes they come from a legit pharmacy.

Maybe if I take all the Roxi's and put them backloaded in an oral syringe and place my finger on the exit part of the front and add a small amount of water then shake it up after placing the plundger back in and shoot the solution into my mouth that could be an effective parachute without fear of losing anything.

Also I will try to take some kind of anti-acid with my oral dosage, I just hope that I dont feel like I wasted my dose if I dont get the effect I would if I would use insufflation.

One time I got fake roxys they had all legit markings on them too! Weird shit it was the first and only time that happened

I know they are real because when I go pick them up everyone is smashed on them, and they are from a family member who goes to PM

Avoid things like gaviscon/rennies etc because opioids tend to like a little bit of acidity.
If your stomach is too basic it will slow or stop absorbtion.

I'll bet it's as simple as the placebo effect. Your mind thinks the oral ROA is weak despite being about twice as effective as intranasal (an extremely poor ROA for oxycodone tablets) and you don't expect to feel the desired effects you feel when abusing the medication by snorting it.

I used to snort my roxis but it's pointless and wasteful and unnecessary damage on my sinuses so I'd just rather take the pills with a tall glass of water is like 200-300% more effective for me. The rectal ROA is equally effective but has a longer duration and rapid onset so I usually plug half of whatever I'm dosing in 5mL and feel effects nearly instantly and then swallow the other half with a tall glass of water and wait 15 minutes for the oral dose to kick in...

I am the same way. I'd snort my oxy ir unless absolutely unable to and when I didn't I was always disappointed. Its probably a mental thing, though. Oral lacks that instant gratification that most drug users desire.

strongly disagree. 15 minutes is worth the wait for something that's 2-3x more effective and 2-3x more oxycodone reaches my bloodstream.

Also, the only "rush"-like feeling that oxycodone has ever been able to produce for me has been via the oral route of administration.

I would give this a go OP.
It seems like it will give you the instant gratification like insufflation but with longer duration of effect...plus your nose will thank you!lol.

Deff would snort them how can people say oral actually feels stronger!? I know bioavailbilty blah blah blah but real world effects snorting is way stronger jus doesn't last as long.most opiate users I know would agree

It depends on why your using the oxy.
If your just wanting a buzz then insufflation will give you the most intense experience.

If you need it as a painkiller then insufflation just isnt a sustainable ROA over time.

Well I decided I would just go ahead and insufflate the 4 30's I had and ofcourse it gave little to no effect because I had suboxone about 2 days prior. Yeah the last time I did take some oxy in the IR form I did some oral and some insufflated and wow did I get what I wanted. I was dissapointed that I did not feel them yesterday but I should have know being my pupils were still constricted at a small degree. I think I am going to give up all opioids all together because my tolerance is just weird and I am tried of wasting money. They just dont give the same amount of pleasure as they use to and chasing a high that only leads to very mild pleasure and another episode of body aches and mild withdrawals is not worth it imo. I should have gone and plugged them but impatient as I am....

Bingo! Once I snorted oxys, that it's! It's the only way I do them now. In fact, in a pinch (couldn't get away and was in public) I took 45mg orally and I barely felt anything but had I snorted them, shesh I would know it. Dude, it's just the way it is.
