jackson knew the risks that were involved, he knew that propofol was a dangerous chemical and knew that there was a likely chance something could go wrong....but murray also knew all of this and should be held accountable in some way...

definitely not a jackson fan, in fact i dont think he was anything more spectacular than what he was in reality...a junky who was fucked up in the head and liked to play with little boys. He just happened to be talented enough to make oodles of money.

It is true Jackson was an addict, and he liked to play with children. I'm sure he knew taking knock out doses of traanquilizers, like lorazepam and propofol, is dangerous. Yes, he was far from perfect.

Still, Conrad Murray is responsible for his death. Murray intravenously administered the powerful anasthetic, Propofol, to Jackson. After administering the dope, Murray should have stuck around and supervised MJ's well being. That is protocol for administering Propofol, you have to supervise the patient, in case the patient stops breathing, or something goes wrong. Conrad Murray DID NOT follow protocol, he left Jackson unsupervised, while he made 40 minutes of phone calls. He came back, and MJ wass stiff and blue. THAT is why he IS responsible for MJ's death, he did not follow protocol. If he had followed it, MJ would probably be alive right now.

Comparing a doctor giving a child molester Propofol at his house is not the same as a drug dealer giving heroin to some young person. A doctor has a lot of responsibility morally and legally for how their patients are treated. I honestly could not think of a dumber drug to give someone to help with insomnia, I realize he tried a hell of a lot more drugs than just Propofol for sleeping, but giving a drug like that was just asking for trouble. I'm glad Murray is going to prison.

Hell, try to find a thread on Bluelight about safely abusing Propofol. When you can't find advice on Bluelight about abusing a drug, you know it's bad.
 
Fuck this rain. I spent the last few hours pumping water out of my basement only to find it bubbling up through a crack in the floor. I filled the cracks with hydraulic cement. I hope this works. If I wouldn't have had some oxys this would have sucked more than it did.

Too true.

I agree that as a doctor Murray should of course be held at a higher standard. What I don't agree with is how he's being portrayed as the only bad guy here. There were doctors before him that started down this path and IMO this dude just happened to be the unlucky fuck directly related to Jackson's death. No matter what, Jackson would have found someone to give him what he wanted and this was bound to happen eventually. Yes as a doctor what Murray did was wrong but, IMO not any worse than what the 10 guys before him did. To me the question becomes whether on not you think MJ was a victim here and I do not.

Not a shitload, just took some opana, feeling pretty nice. I'm about to go over my friend's house to help him work on his still but realistically I'll just end up sitting on my ass watching movies on the projector. Tomorrow's my day off so I'm happy about that. Got a lot of shit to do tomorrow tho.
