Narcolepsy & MDMA?

Hey there. I am a Narcoleptic interested in trying MDMA for the first time.

I have come here in search for someone who is open-minded in regards to their knowledge around drug usage and neurology/sleep disorders. I have read some literature online, getting mixed reviews about MDMA increasing the severity of narcoleptics' symptoms, esp. when the diagnosed has the symptom of cataplexy.

I need some advice because I want to roll with my friends this weekend but am not sure if I will be okay. I do take vyvanse every day (60-70mg), and sometimes I take focalin boosters. I am willing to take 30mg the day of rolling. Lastly, I do experience cataplexy as part of my symptoms.

I would avoid the combination of a dopaminergic stimulant with MDMA - it will vastly potentiate neurotoxicity. You need all the serotonin you can get to keep yourself awake - don't harm your serotonin with MDMA.

But your decision is yours to make of course - I would much rather see you take a low dose of a psychedelic - it is notoriously difficult to sleep on psychedelics.

As for the cataplexy I think with MDMA you will have so much adrenaline in your system that you may not experience any unless you still manage to experience cataplexy under stressful situations.
