Bupe Narcan yourself to knock bupe off receptors?

I been taking 4mg subs daily for about 3 months, I’m tryna party a lil this weekend and had what I think is a brilliant idea to Narcan myself to kick the bupe off my receptors, what yall think would that work or am I just rtarded

That is not going to work. Naltrexone is the only available antagonist potent enough to kick bupe off receptors, not naloxone.

Even if it did work, you realize you would be sent into horrific withdrawals, right? You would have no ability to “party” whatsoever. Especially not if “partying” means using opioids. It would just block them.

The only way to get high while on bupe is to use enough of an opioid that’s got a high enough binding affinity to overpower the bupe.

Hence why I switched to nitazenes. I still take my bupe daily, but can get high whenever I want to.

And what do you do if anybody have a bupe or zenes OD?? Narcan its not going to work?? And what about fent OD?? Does naloxone work?

It wouldn't work even if naloxone had a higher affinity than bupe and could kick it off. Because naloxone's half life is so short, it's only active for about 2 hours. Once if wears off, the bupe would reattached to the receptor.

A lot of people don't know this, naloxone is only temporary, it does not get the offending drug out of your system, it only temporarily removes it from the receptor. It floats around and can reattach again once the naloxone falls off. It's fairly common for people to re-overdose after being administered naloxone if they don't go to the hospital. The naloxone wears off, and 2 hours later they become high and overdose again.

I’ve had multiple non lethal OD’s while using on top of bupe. With pure fentanyl and zenes. The bupe always takes control again, preventing any deadly respiratory depression. I’m on 8-16mg/day.

This isn’t to suggest that everybody should go out and try to break through their bupe with no fear of death, but it’s been my experience over a decade.

If I had needed it, naloxone would’ve worked. They just use more than usual. Then the medics insist you go to the hospital so they can monitor you, if you fall out again.

I’m a little late to the party but IT DOES WORK. Because I just did it a few days ago. Narcan will wipe the bupe off your receptors but as someone else mentioned it will also put you into instant withdrawal. Well in my case took about 5-10 mins. Luckily I haven’t used Xanax in many years so 1 peach and 4mg sub brought me back out. Which I believe was more so the Xanax then anything that chilled me out. But yeah you can do it but you’re gonna feel like DEATH before anything and whatever you use will prob just mellow you out first. But atleast then you will have broke the tolerance. But don’t listen to me. Stay on the subs it ain’t worth “dabbling” and chancing getting hooked on a more expensive and unreliable drug again.
