Heroin Narcan smell lingering on streets after OD?

i was at the scene of a overdose on da block here in atlanta and noticed that it smelled like suboxone all around, was that naloxone/narcan that i smelled? the emt's couldnt save hime but i think they gave him narcan gas, has anyone ever heard of this, but i was walking up the block and smelled what i thought was sub and was like wtf and turned the corner and saw the cops and ambulance, what gives?

^ The smell from suboxone comes from the inactive ingridients from the flavoring I think, so I doubt that naloxone has a similar smell since it isn't lemon/lime flavored. I've never heard of naloxone gas, nor does a google search confirm its existence.

Naloxone is a potent antagonist, and it is injected nornally. So I don't think what you smelled is naloxone.

They were probably giving him oxygen. I don't think Narcan gas exists. And I don't think naloxone has an odor, at least not one you could smell from several feet away. Probably just a coincidence.

There is no harm reduction value here and what people can smell is highly subjective. Your narcan smell might be another's sweaty shoes or whatever. There's really no point in keeping a discussion like this open. Closed.
