I've been prescribed naproxen for pain relief but I'm not getting much of an effect. I'm wondering if it's safe to iv this?

Do not IV that. Its a NSAID not an opiate. You wont get high off of it no matter what you do.

No interest in getting high from it, just in getting more effective pain relief.

The only NSAID available IV is Toradol. I don't even know what that would do to your body. Maybe someone in the pharmacology arena would know, I never heard of anyone trying. I doubt it would even dissolve. And the whole filler thing, causing vegetations in your heart, endocarditis or cardiomyopathy are possibilities

Have you been to a pain clinic, or returned to the doctor?

Have you explored other options? How many are you taking? I take 3 when I need them, in the am, then 2 in the pm. I alternate between them and Motrin. Naprosyn one day and Motrin another.

Lie and say you are an addict taking 2 oc80's a day at the methadone clinic. Just don't take all the methadone they give you at the same time or you'll die.

I can't believe you considered IV'ing naproxen...

lol this is the funniest post i have read in a while. Just take it orally, not even worth the time of preparing it to Iv. lol

NO, DO NOT IV Naproxen, it will harden in your veins, i;m telling you you this through experience, please don't mate.

If you're not happy with the pain relief of naproxen, speak with your doctor. There might be something else he can prescribe for you.

Thanks for feedback. Iv naproxen is obviously out. I'll see if I can get somthing more effective when I see the doc on Wed.
