Has anyone here had this done, or know anyone that has??

Some experiences, short and long term would be very helpful.

A friend of mine did it. Basically he went in once every month for a subcutaneous shot.. Got him to stay off the dope cus it was pointless to use, but I'm not sure if he had any side effects along with it..

Was it really pointless to use though? Or does it just lower the effects?

im pretty sure you wouldnt feel any amount of dope, and would sooner od than get high.

its a pretty crazy treatment plan imo

That's what worries me, if it works a little bit at higher doses, then if things get real rough, it's gonna go in regardless..
But if it's zero effects then it won't..
I guess being that you can't get high, means the potential to od is lower...

I assume it works for all forms of opiates?

Yea, it should work for most opiates. Buprenorphine might have a higher affinity than naltrexone, so you could possibly use that if u wanted to get high (even tho its a partial agonist). Also, as stated before, if you flooded the receptor with an opiate, there's a possibility of some of it going breaking through the naltrexone, but its not a good idea b/c it could lead to an overdose.
