nalaxone for OD'ing

ok so you all saw pulp fiction, the bit where the dealer gets the shot to reverse the o.d Uma baby is encountering.
Well i have had a couple of associates die and a couple nearly die around me through over-indulging opiates.
So say i have 4 tabs of nalaxone. Could i make up an emergency syringe out of them in case this happened again?
How would you do it? Eg. would there be a problem crushing up, filtering and loading a works for the future Or could this be dangerous in itself i.e. left over time bacteria manifesting etc???
Could a non-IV user- someone who knows nothing of IV. grind it up and snort it up the "dying persons nose? Considering the dangers of IM'ing tablets.. Cause there aint no way the person OD'ing is gonna be able to swallow em, and by the time they work they'd have croaked.
Please no smart ass comments like get nalaxone in ampoules OR just do it when the need arises.
As we only have 4 x 50mg tablets.
Any suggestions??

I had NO IDEA they came in pill form too. I thought it was liquid only seeings how the syringe has to be hit directly in the heart. I may be mistaken.
I have two bottles of this stuff, and I don't IV anything...I've just been hanging on to them cause I know alot of bangers..and from what I hear the shit is hard to get ahold of.

nah thats just in the movies, lol. They come as "blockers" in the UK. In that you have em every other day to prevent relapse into opiate addiction. Also, availible as an implant which lasts for a couple of months.

In the movie it was adrenaline, not nalaxone. You don't have to give narcan to the heart.

Mixing these tablets into a solution for injection in advance is dangerous for a number of reasons. First is the obvious problem of using a pill that contains binders etc and just shouldn't be injected. Next, it would most likely not stay dissolved in the solution, and would become lumpy. Third, it would be most unhygenic to give someone an injection from a syringe in these circumstances.
You would be better off calling an ambulance, which if you are in a metro are should be there in minutes. This would be less time than it would take to try to find a way to give the tablets by another route. If you are really worried about someone od'ing, maybe you could learn CPR. Also knowing how to administer a painful stimuli (without injuring someone) is useful in opiate OD as painful stimuli may be adequate to rouse someone who is narcotised. Giving a sternal rub with the knuckles (try it on yourself - it hurts!) or pinching the ears with a finger nail and shaking the person about the shoulders may be effective.

Could an epipen be used to help someone who has OD'd? I know it is basically adrenaline and in cases of severe allergic reactions resulting in cardiac arrest it is used. Just wondering if it would do the same for heroin OD.

yes but they wont do narcon.
if someone is od'ing they dont have much of a choice now do they. you give them narcan or they die...
