Hello everyone.

Just recently started seeing a pain specialist for chronic pain. I thought
this forum would be a good place to discuss things related to that. Was in
a bad car wreck years ago, and so far the pain specialist has been a big
help.

I am a recovering addict who has 7 years clean. The decision to go back on narcotics
was a tough one. Basically, its to the point where I can't function due to the pain. My career
is very physically demanding, and I like to be able to play with my kids.

So far I let my wife give me what I am supposed to take on a daily basis. She hides the medicine
so I'm not tempted to take more than I should.

Well I guess thats enough about me for now.

Welcome sidewhales. :) I'm sorry to hear about your pain, but I'm glad that you decided to give your wife your prescription to dispense to you so that you won't abuse it. That's a very proactive, responsible, and honorable thing to do and I commend you for it. :) Some areas on Bluelight that might be of interest to you are the Pain Management Mega Thread over in Other Drugs and also The Dark Side. I think you could help out some people that are struggling with their own addictions in TDS with your own experience.

Aww I am so sorry to hear about your suffering. Must be a terrible thing to have to deal with on a daily basis. Like spork said, check out that pain management thread. There might be something really useful for you there. Welcome to BL! Hopefully there is something we can do to help you out, give you support or at least bring a smile to your day. :)
