Hello! well first of all let me tell you about my self. My name is alek and i am from PA. I am a musician and recently have begun my journey on mass knowledge and enlightenment. I am a college student here in PA and am aspiring to be a chemist or deal with experimental psychology or somethnig of the sorts. Let me tell you that I have dealt with a lot of personal battles within my self and it wasn't until recently that I've realized there are a lot of people out there, and from what i can tell on this site as well, that are similar to me. This has been the root of my problems, feeling like a major outcast or someone that never quite grasped the "norms" of reality.

I had been experimenting with marijuana since 8th grade but it wasnt until about two years ago that i started heavily using, at first just to get high and pure recreational, ignoring all enlightenment factors of this substance. Throughout these past two years ive battled depression. Long story short weed turned into benzos and i began heavily abusing those as a numbing factor as well as using opiates as well as cocaine very minimally. After about a year and half of this i saw the dangers to my well-being and consciousness through the use of such drugs.

This is when i started really exploring my mind, and thus leading me to the world of psychoactive substances. College also helped me push towards the search for enlightenment, understanding and science! I began using marijuana as a gateway into the depths of my mind and using it as a meditation tool. I then began researching many drugs and finding that the experiences people would have are exactly what i wanted to find and these substances were not merely drugs to have fun but tools to open one's mind. The first tool that i began using was MDMA. I used this rather excessively and looking back, probably too excessively. This substance really showed me a lot about myself and others and lead into the want for substances of a much more intense nature. it wasn't until recently after months of studying drugs that i came across LSD for the first time, and i thank whoever it is up there for that gift to me. Long story short, im just a kid looking to expand my mind and understand the world in a different perspective, as well as gain a lot of knowledge that will help with my goals.
Thank you, and feel free to contact me at anytime i am always here to chat, discuss anything, and make some new friends!

welcome aboard, trillish!

I can relate very much to your intro, although if I'm honest it happened the opposite way round with me. I got into drugs for psychedelics. They sounded fascinating, and when I tried a few... mushrooms, mescaline cactus & salvia, they opened a door and let all kinds of more recreational drugs in that I never imagined I'd get into, I would try and sample as many as I could really. Anything for something new.
Now I've tried so many and if I'm honest the only drugs that didn't lose their lustre were psychedelics, and these I've come back to with a passion.
If you haven't found it already, I'm sure you'll take some interest in the Psychedelic Drugs forum.
Great to hear that you're a musician, I play a fair bit myself :)

Drugs are an interesting thing! It is easy to get lost and lose the point to why you actually do them. Luckily for me i found psychedelics at the time i did, so i didn't abuse them. except for MDMA, i have honestly abused that, but its damn easy to do unfortunately. This realm of psychoactive drugs needs respect so thankfully i found that respect before i could abuse them. Im glad you appreciate the psychs' many people would bash me for using them, i simply tell them that they will never open up there consciousness with mindsets so cold.
Thanks a lot for the welcomeness and happy tripping!
