Anyone ever get Myoclonus and hyperalgesia (that is an increase in pain) from doing heroin, morphine or another opioid? I have in the past, I got it real bad when I was doing PPT/PST about 1.5 year a months ago, and my thoughts were that it was from having a good amount of morphine in my system practically round the clock, because that stuff lasts it seems over 12 hours. The metabolites morphine-3 & 6 -glucuronide are both known to cause these effects and possibly be neurotoxic when large amount build up. When I got it with PPT/PST I felt nausea, too, and my joints were stiff and cracking a lot. At that time I switched to using oxycodone, it went away, then came back 2-3 weeks later on the oxy, which I didn't expect because I figured it was the morphine metabolites to blame. It was not as bad with the oxy and went away(or I kicked, I honestly can't remember that right now). So I have been off and on with oxy and sub and now H and sub recently without it coming back, then it started up over this weekend. It was a pretty abysmal timing because I planned to switch to Subs for good this week, and I wanted to enjoy my last few days. But I haven't enjoyed them much.
As far as the Subs go, basically I have no option - due to financial reasons and not wanting to turn to a life of thievery - other than to kick the dope and switch to Suboxone full time (well I could go cold turkey but I don't have it in right now and have no time off at work). For some reason this time I really am having trouble waiting long enough to induce. I am always nervous about precipitated withdrawal, but I only wait on average 12 hours. Lately that has not been the best option, while it has gave me mild relief, it was not the big jump in relief I have gotten before form Suboxone. Sometimes it almost seems like I did nothing, that is how it feels even after 2 hours. But it holds me at that point until I get around the 18-24 hour mark after last H use and then I feel normal. I feel that doing H means you gotta wait a bit longer than on Oxycodone. Even though I feel just as sick before I try.
I am definitely not condoning my actions, but I have taken sub only 10 hours, maybe even less, after the use of oxy and H. Never had a bad issue with it, at least nothing like the nightmare stories people describe with PW/D. (Note: My ROA is intranasal) I go into W/D pretty quick, though. I hear about people not feeling any W/D after 12 hours who claim to be hardcore addicts, and I think, WTF, why do I feel sick within 6 hours. I usually do my last dose around 8 or 9 and wake up at like 3 or 4 in the morning with minor w/d, force a little more sleep and get up because I cannot sleep anymore, so I dose. This is sometimes when I pop the Suboxone, typically 2 mg.
Let me say I made a big mistake today and back tracked in the process. My original plan was to start the sub this morning, but I foolishly left my self a small to medium line to do this morning, plus cleaned out the old snifter, so that was another small line. It honestly gave me very little after doing it at 6 am, and by 10 am I was feeling the W/D kick in. I waited until 3 pm and was feeling pretty damn sick. Nausea so didn't eat a thing since breakfast, loose stools, fits of profuse sweating, pupils were dilated, no ability to lie in bed for more than a few minutes, either too cold or too warm regardless what I did. For the most part seemed like I was in moderate w/d's, honestly in past cold turkeys I didn't find it get much worse than at that moment, but from then on sleep and eating is difficult to impossible, so after 48 hours of no sleep and eating only soft/easy-to-stomach food it gets pretty awful. Then I caved and scored, and now I am typing this kind of pissed but also happy to feel better. I only could get enough for this night so its back to plan A again tomorrow. I just wonder if I could have taken the Subs at that point. Its surely playing with fire and not an option now. I mean it was only 8 hours but the dose was pretty small this morning and before that the last dose was 12 hours. Oh well, I think most people agree that its best to do the Sub when coming off a full agonist in the morning and sleep through some w/d. Of course another issue is I no longer have any benzos to help get extra sleep in the morning. A great strategy has been take the benzo at like 3 am, shortly before I wake up and around when I am feeling early w/d. Then I can sleep through minor w/d's and past 8am and therefore past 12 hours from last dose. But I didn't want to use benzos as a crutch this time, so it is what it is.
So I'll just ask if anyone has any helpful tips or words of encouragement? I also have a bit of kratom, maybe 2 doses worth. Could that help someway, maybe taken after my first Sub to reduce the residual w/d effects?
Edit: Wow, that was long.
