I had a weird situation on Saturday, had some of the light blue sapphires/diamonds (see here). I took one on the train on the way back from Glasgow and within 30 mins was chatting cod shit to strangers on the train, the Mrs (who hasn’t had a decent bean in her life) was feeling chatty too. Anyway got home and i fired up the decks and got some trance on the go, by this point I was feeling lovely but my wife wasn’t feeling much at all. So we both took another and after 20 mins I was getting right into my tunes but she said she didn’t feel anything and was actually replying to mates on facebook rather than getting into the music

She has never had a decent pill but has had her fair share of meph in her time and she definitely gets a high from that. I was really disappointed that she didn’t feel the unique MDMA feeling so wanted to ask opinions on here. She was taking Prozac but stopped that 3 months ago so I would expect that to be well out of her system by now?

I have more sapphires on their way hopefully and we are heading down to Godskitchen at Air in Birmingham for Above & Beyond at the end of the month so hopefully the clubbing environment will give her a better experience.

Just throwin this out there buddy. Is your girl on any other meds? Anti-depressants/psychotics perhaps?

^ SSRIs can heavily reduce the emphathogen/psychedelic effects of MDMA; and antipsychotics(ex. seroquel) can block serotonin and dopamine receptors, so the effects of MDMA would be blocked.

hmmm... according to the trip report on the site you linked, it took around an hour to really "kick" in and started to wear off after only two hours.

eye wiggles were observed, but it doesn't really sound like MDMA with the come up and duration. according solely to what was described of the come up and duration time, my guess is that it could be mCPP(piperazine that acts as a 5-HT & NAT releasing agent and 5-HT agonist).

also, the picture of the pills(even though it wasn't a clear one) showed them to look poorly pressed and "cheap", which is common with piperazine containing pills.

the only thing that struck me with some doubt is that the person reported "feeling great", which is not consistant with mCPP. the duration/come up is though. with all that being said, i really can't put my finger on what was in the pills, or why your wife didn't feel anything.

*also, does your wife take any supplement, tea, etc. containing St. John's Wort?

this common herb found in many anxiety, deppression, stress relief, etc. supplements acts as an SSRI so it can(like other SSRIs) heavily reduce MDMA's effects.

Thanks for the responses folks but I can definately say that these are MDMA tested and haave a strong smell of aniseed which is another good sign of MDMA content. I have taken my fair share of pills in the past and I know myself these are the real ddeal.

The only other thing my wife takes on a regular basis is Mebeverine for her IBS.

Can anyone confirm that a 3 month break from Prozac is enough to feel the effects of MDMA?
