It’s hard to remember
It seems like long ago
How long has it been
I don’t really know
I still had a grin
Even with all the pain
But that inner glow is back
And that smile returns again
It makes me blush
It makes me hide my face
But the feelings inside
Are no longer an empty space
New feelings make me scared
Old feelings long since gone
I look to the future
A new life a new dawn
Will this smile remain
I have no doubts that it will
With her right before me
The world seems to stand still
A new twinkle in my eye
I am no longer in denial
I know what makes me happy
And you can tell by my smile
