Hello bluelighters,

These following words may seem crazy and ostentatious yet a man saying similar things helped me once upon a time so I thought I'd risk making lots of enemies and introduce myself and some values I hold.

Despite which androgynous god you believe in, or which burlesque path you may follow, I want to share with you the power associated with believing in something a little different, something closer, something you see everyday, something people judge you by and something that shares every experience with you... I want you to believe in yourself. Smile and give someone a compliment everyday. Strive to help someone (as bluelight does on a regular basis), strive to be the best you can be doing whatever you wish to do. Live without regret and look after the people who care about you. Today is called the present for a reason, leave the past behind and focus on today and tomorrow.

I have seen numerous posts about drug dependencies and social problems that people have on this site and I'd just like to say stick in there, things will get better if you put the effort in, no matter how impossible it may seem. I was in the dark end thinking that I never end up doing what I dreamed and would never be fulfilled. Now I have come out with positive hope looking at a possible future as a doctor. I'm not trying to boast, and I'm definitely not saying I abstain from using recreational drugs (because I do) I'm just letting you all know that the future is in your hands and despite the odds anything is possible. Don't give up, and don't let people tell you that drugs will rule your life and you will go no where on them. I use drugs daily and yet I am comfortably walking along the path I have chosen to take (university), the will to do something is all you need.

I wish the best to all of you going through a hard time right now. Stick with it, and stick with or seek out those willing to help.

Cheers.

Thanks for the kind words. Congratulations with your journey CH, I read your story and it seems like you've conquered some huge obstacles and done a lot for yourself.

I'm hoping to help out a bit in the Dark Side forum and with the Advanced drug discussion side of things as well as fix up a few blatant mistakes I've seen in drug discussions which are misleading and misinforming. Now that I am a member and not just reading as a guest I can alert the moderators to a few posts which give totally the wrong information to people regarding safe drug use (the wrong name of a drug, not knowing the difference between ROA Bio Avail and peak plasma conc, etc).
