My RX reads "Adderall" but I receive D-Amp (Dextroamphetamine). Two questions.
1) Why do I receive Dextroamphetamine from the pharmacy when my script clearly reads "Adderall"? Is it because
a) my doctor intended for me to receive Dextroamphetamine and the pharmacy somehow knew this while I wasn't able to tell, or
b) is this a matter of which pharmacy I go to to run the script? For example, will Walgreens give me one variation while CVS gives me another? (I know that latter suggestion is highly unlikely).
2) As I've obviously recognized that I'm receiving pure D-Amp and not the full Adderall (1/4 L-Amp, 3/4 D-Amp), how would I bring this up in discussion with my doctor? He's Austrian, always in a rush, and very unwilling to consider what his patients say. I get the feeling that if I man up and say out-right what I want changed, he'll do it and move on with his life. But I don't want to bring this up in the wrong way. Ideas?
This D-Amp was doable for me for about a week. After that point, without the L-Amp mixed in there, my tolerance skyrocketed and now I can't get my desired effect even from 80mg (my daily dose is currently 20mg). Admittedly, I experiment parachuting and even snorting the stuff. I've even swallowed the pill, parachuted, and snorted at the same time to a total of 100mg (40mg swallowed, 40mg parachuted, 20mg insufflation) and found results very sub par. Yeah, it's given that I've been on a bit of a binge with it, but hey, it's only Dex.
Side note: I've researched Adderall bioavailability pretty heavily. I make sure to keep very low acidity diet. I even drink a few baking soda drinks throughout the day, avoiding acidic foods like meats, potatoes, coffee, etc.
Any help with my first two questions would be greatly appreciated!
