a poet who reads his verse aloud should never be proud
but always humble
for the reason of reading is not to spread ones name to fame
but ones
heart
and
mind
to a different kind
who, even in difference
May share the world of dreams
Anytime i read on stage i start with this. its become my manifesto, and it warms me up. i was inspired when i read something about how 'any poet who reads outloud should be shot.' heh heh
