so starting about a year ago i was prescribed tramadol for my RLS, which i have naturally due to it being in my family for a long time. anyways, the relief was instantaneous and i felt like a million bucks. but then i noticed increased energy and awareness from daytime use and eventually increased my usage to about 600mg per day.......yeah, you all know how the story goes. then i run out and cannot get a refill for another two weeks(this was a week ago). so what followed was a week of pure hell.....hot and cold sweats, fatigue, shaking, diarrhea, restless legs(and arms now) that are worse than before, no appetite, INSANE APATHY, crying because of every little thing, etc etc. so i did a little research last night and found that anti-convulsants work sometimes for RLS, which is honestly the worst part of withdrawal IMO, with the two most popular being neurontin and lyrica.low and behold my wife has a full bottle of 60 lyrica 75mg sitting in the bathroom, i take three and i'm out like a fucking light. this morning, although EXTREMELY GROGGY, i am in no pain. i can tell it is having no effect on my emotional problems, but my physical symptoms are completely dulled and my appetite is back. this drug will put you in a sort of confused state, kind of like valium, but more pronounced IMO. it is a controlled substance, so obtaining it might be an issue, but i still thought i should share my experience.
