My parents found my stash! What should I do?

UPDATE: Well, believe it or not, nothing happened. ;)
She really had no clue what it was and barely asked any question. I told her it was something that goes in a printer =D (don't ask...)

My main concern now is whether the tabs lost a noticeable amount of potency due to being exposed to sunlight for 1 or 2 hours.
(there are 15 of them, that's a lot)

Do you think they are at least partly ruined?
I was hoping a 2 hours exposure was not significant, but I really don't know how that works...

lol. good for you

Isn't the UV light that ruins LSD? In that case it must depend on the day. I guess

Your blotter should be OK.

Did she really believe that your blotter was something used for a printer? I find that hard to believe but my parents know all about drugs and what they look like and what they do.

light oxygen and heat degrade lsd.
it is one of the most unstable molecules in the world.

ur hits should be fine though.
only one way to find out!

At least you got away with it just be more careful with your stah in the future.
Anyhow what is your mum doing going through your room at 22 ?

idea:
distilled water+blotters+leave in a dark place for a long time=very dilute liquid?

I did this once with 6 strong hits in each old school film case (3 in total) stored at the back of a mini fridge.

Me and my friends called them 'The ultimate acid shots', and yes it was an amazing adventure

You should have an honest talk with her about it. You're an adult and she should recognize your right to make your own decisions, but you're living under her roof and she deserves to be treated with honesty and respect. Besides, if you lie to her and somehow pull it off, will you ever feel truly comfortable tripping again, especially at home? It's always best when this stuff is out in the open, IMHO. If she has a deep problem with your LSD use that she won't be talked out of by you calmly and honestly explaining your use, then it's gonna cause a problem sooner or later and it's best to deal with it now rather than risk making it worse by being disingenuous.

Then again, I don't know your mom. If it were my parents I'd absolutely tell them, but then again they'd know what acid is and if they had any problem with it it would be solely the legal risk of keeping it around. If you have a history of your parents being unreasonable/vindictive when it comes to drug use, maybe my advice isn't so practical, but if you have a good and open relationship with your parents in general then talking about it is probably your best bet.

An hour or two exposed may have caused minor degradation but I'd be surprised if they were completely inactive or even that heavily degraded in such a short time. It was just out on your kitchen table, not outside baking in the sun, right? IIRC, artificial light is less damaging than sunlight because UVs are the worst for causing the cid to break down. I may be thinking of another compound, though.

Hah she thought they go into a computer? I have no idea how you pulled that one off sir.

Well, though this excuse sounds very stupid in hindsight, I believe she didn't even think it over, that's why she "bought" it.

She doesn't know anything about LSD, so to her it was just pieces of paper.
If it was weed or white powder, it'd have been more difficult to fool her, obviously.
She also have no idea I take drugs as she never saw me in any kind of altered state. I'm very careful to trip only when I'm alone or at night.

I thought about being open about my drug use (before this incident), but that wouldn't be a good thing.
It's possible to convince her, but there is also the risk that she totally freak out about it, and in that case it could get very difficult to continue tripping at home: she could watch me at night, or try and find my stash, things like that...
I'm just thankful I got away with it this time.

when i was 17 or 18 my mom found my vial of 2c-i.

After explaining that it wasnt cocaine, and then trying to explain what a psychedelic is, and that i use them responsibly and benefit from them, she decided to let me keep the vial and pretend it never happened.

two thumbs up for my mom <3

I once considered giving my mother some MDMA to show her the beauty of drugs, and subsequently make her more prone to accept my own drug use... But with the crash and all the side effects, this might have the opposite effect on her.
I had this idea WHILE on ecstasy, when you have this urge to share the love & beauty with everyone you know (I'm sure the e-tards know what I mean)...

Anyway I really hope the hits are still good.

Dumb question: do weakened hits just mean you have to take more to feel the exact same effects? or does degraded acid changes the trip qualitatively?

Run as fast as you can and never look back.

Well seriously, this is a good opportunity to educate the older generation in the actual facts behind these drugs, how else will they learn than from seeing their children use such substances safely. Of course, if it was crack, then thats a little tricker to preach about.

I did once offer my mum a low dose of mushrooms, knowing very well it would benefit her in some respect. Though she replied by saying "I'm too old for that now days"
