my ode to dunkin' donuts

i wrote this a couple weeks ago, and as cheesy as it is, i love it.

'ode to dunkin' donuts'



o dunkin’ donuts, how you treat me right.

you hook me up with a box o’ joe
cause me and my friends are all on the go.
i’ll admit to owning three and a half pounds
of regular blend coffee grounds
that manifest themselves in my home coffee pot.

on days when it’s humid and hot
i can always count on you for somethin’ nice,
mixin’ your java with flavor and ice
like my all-time personal favorite,

the hazelnut coolatta.
(triumphant music here)

i got a lotta respect for the donuts, especially,
specifically the flavors and variety –
cinnamon, regular glazed, and boston kreme –
and oh my god it’s a chocolate lover’s dream.

then you go servin’ breakfast all day,
morning sandwiches my favorite way
(even though you’re always out of sausage)
just don’t run outta croissants, please –
i gotta have butter to go with my grease.

let’s not forget the new lattes, and the bagels, and the muffins, and the éclairs, coffee rolls, and apple fritters, and the munchkins, and i gotta lot more shit to add here.

but the best part is:
there’s a baskin’ robbins hiding in the back.

lol..I liked this one, I used to eat at Dunkin Donuts when I was little, I always loved it, but since there isn't one here, I can't have their great donuts..
