My new girlfriend is Christian and I am not?

Ah, religion. Where you follow a rule book that's thousands of years old and only follow the rules that you want to and then skip the other ones because...... ? I'm not sure why. Some of these Christians need to read Deuteronomy and some of the other misogynistic chapters.

The fact that she has a job and hasn't sacrificed a goat probably puts her in violation already.

While I am agnostic, it was never an issue for me to be with a religious girl.

Also, it was the other way around for the last religious girl I was with, but she did try convert me a couple of times.

She told me I could find God in everyday situations, and I found it buried in between her legs.

She could deep-throat really well, which may be something she learned in Sunday school.

At the end of the day, we are all seeking meaning in the world around us.

It's sometimes a much more efficient and grounding way of seeing the universe to make an assumption of a divine creator of all.

Each to their own.

jesus guys...
the two kids just have different world views. It does not make either one bad people. Lots of people, smart people believe in god, or some sort of spiritual thing. These two are just not compatible for a long term relationship. How could a christian, who feels that only through jesus christ can you be saved, marry an athiest? Somone who does not take their religious views seriously and belittles them in private? This is just as disrespectful as telling someone they wont marry an athiest. I

The lack of tolerance of athiests towards people of faith is sometimes just as closed-minded, and obtuse as some wacky christian types towards non-believers. These kids just arent the same type of people. no harm no foul, but not cut from the same cloth.

Well said.

I'm spiritual and observe a religion as well; but even I've dated people who were way too religious or way too into a spirituality, or we were just not compatible in other ways so we did not have a relationship or go past dating.
