My new book Smithereens In A Moment.

Unfortunately, I can't attach it to this thread, because it says the file size of the PDF is too big. Here's some links around the web where you can easily read and download it for yourself.

This is the first edition of Smithereens In A Moment - 2008, the sequel to my poetry book, Eons In A Moment - 2007. Most of the poems in this book cover various elements of life and love. I consider this collection to be experimental poetry and photography. Most of the poems were written on the road while traveling throughout China in 2007.

I'm sending this book to all my friends and acquaintances around the world. My only hope is that you give it a chance and enjoy it.

Take care,

applesbliss

Congratulations on getting another book out there. :)

I just had a read. The photography is beautiful, understated, and abstract in a way that speaks to me.

In terms of the poetry, my favourites were 'Gobi', 'Have Too Much Fear' and 'Whys'. Those seemed the most (g)rounded... but I enjoyed the flightpaths of many others. Not one poem overstayed its welcome. If anything I felt this collection was less 'experimental' than your earlier book. It's as if you've found a form, a voice, and a process that is you.

Reading this inspires me to write poems every chance I get when I tour the UK and Europe next year. :) I like the way your book carries a sense of travel, along with a sense of staying in the same place in terms of love and memory (those ever-recurring themes).
