I deal with severe social anxiety,PTSD,agoraphobia, bipolar,ADHD,borderline personality disorder, early onset schizophrenia.I started at pain mangm because my PTSD causes me to lose control and I blacked out an stuck a pair of scissors completely through my left hand completely severy nerves to my index middle and thumb been going there getting treatment for fibromyalgia, cervical stenosis, degenerative disc disease, lordosis, sway back,I take lyrics, topamax, tramadol, mobix, clonidine patch, along with restoril, celexa, nuerontin, and well for the last few month because my insurance don't cover dental I've been dealing with 2 absesed teeth up top where I've had to go to er and the pain doc told me to tell er I was in pain management which I did but because the gave me 12-325 mg percocet because the infection had my eye closed now pain management won't refill my tramadol for some reason its not a narcotic I don't need a script yet they said they'd refer me to another pain doc but can still fill my lyrics an topamax but no narcotics and I'm like what I've never dropped a dirty piss. wtf . has anyone gone through this? what can I expect from next pain doc? I just was in front of an ALJ and he spoke to me for 5 min didn't interview the vocational expert and gave me a fully favorable decision and all he did was move my onset date from 3-2013 to 4-2014 so I took it. with having better insurance will I have better pain docs that will care and truly want to help my pain?

Hi, Welcome aboard ! !

I deal with chronic pain myself, cervical degeneration, stenosis and severe arthritis near my skull. I'm not you -- but I relate on some level. I'm so sorry you are in pain and have to take so many medications. PTSD makes my pain worse through the pain gates in my spine due to trauma - I do know this.
I cannot say if your insurance will improve a better outcome for you for personal reasons as there are many dimensions to insurance companies, nor on Bluelight as we cannot give advice, although you might find some with experiences here.

There are so many factors involved, not just managed and non managed care; but doctors, hospitals - the state you are in and so forth.

Would you like me to move your post to another forum? Your post relates to a few forums, so please let me know if you have any preferences. We do have a The Pain Management Megathread (Chronic and Acute Pain Discussion) v6.

Much <3, Smoky :)
