My mood while rolling....Is this normal?

I was wondering if it's normal to feel agitated when you roll. I started rolling a year ago. The first time I started I dropped about 10 pills in 1 week and then read that that wasn't the smartest thing to do and have rolled 3 times since spacing them out over a 9 month period dropping 3 pills per a roll. The last time I had rolled however I dropped 2.5 pills over a 9 hour period and at one point after I peaked I just felt agitated and wondered if that was normal. Could I have killed my future experiences due to me rolling so hard the first week I ever rolled? Or could it be that my pills were mixed with other substances?

Thanks in advance!

Could be anything, my best advice is to not fret about it and try to ensure everything you ingest is fairly clean (get a testing kit/or scout pillreports alot)

Your set and setting could have easily killed your roll, you never know.

what other substances did you mix the pills with?
that could have a substantial impact on your feelings that night.
can you give a general overview of that experience? (where you were, how you felt before hand, who you were with)

2.5 pills over 9 hours to me is about the right dose; however, everyone is different, and every pill is different. you could have gotten some adulterated tabs in the first place, which certainly could have produced less than desirable results.

I had researched on pill report and the said they were MDXXmed could that affect a roll what-so-ever? Also, binging like I did does that ever affect future rolls?

Actually I was on no other drugs which is funny because the only thing I've ever been on is Ecstasy. I don't even drink. I did ingest orange juice prior to the experience. The experience was good I peaked for only about a half an hour and had jaw-clenching pretty hard for a few hours but once the 4th hour hit, I started getting upset at my boyfriend and actually wanted him to go away. Just seems very weird with Ecstasy because they first time I rolled I just wanted to talk and hug for 9 hours straight.

Just because it's on PR doesn't mean that's the exact tablet you got. Copycat batches can and DO happen.

Your initial binge could potentially offset future rolls... but a single binge GENERALLY won't screw you over forever. (However, it is indeed an unsafe practice-- in regards to enjoying your future rolls AND your brain/body health)

I'd suggest you give it at least 3 to 4 months before you try and drop again. In the meantime, make sure you lead a pretty healthy lifestyle. You shouldn't be fucked for life as far as rolling goes, but just be cautious from now on. As much fun as it can be, the stuff is STILL a drug and not terribly good for you.

I appologize... I missread your initial post and thought you had said that you took other substances... But now I see that you were pondering if your pills had been cut.

As far as what you've just described now, I'll ask this: were there any difficulties or unresolved issues/problems with you and your boyfriend before you rolled? MDMA is a pretty emotional ride, so if there was some bad blood there, that could have subconsciously caused your agitation.

How was your come down? Were you able to sleep fine? Or did you feel restless/tweaky?
How did you feel the next day?

Actually now that I think about it yes, there were un-resolved issues. I guess we were taking the Ecstasy to make the mood a bit lighter. Guess that's a bad idea huh? I was tweaky for a few hours then slept just fine that morning. When you sleep easily after a roll does that mean it's not a very good pill?

Can Birth control affect the mood of a roll?

Okay, noooow I can offer some perhaps better explanations.

While ecstasy can be the perfect tool for working out issues, you really need to go into using it with that set and frame of mind. Taking it just to lighten the mood is like trying to ignore your issues for the time being... And with a drug like x, typically that ain't gonna happen. Whatever you're feeling is going to be magnified and will at some point come out.

If you felt a bit tweaky, odds are your pill had some sort of speedy cut to it. That could be anything from a bit of caffeine to some sort of amphetamine. This isn't necessarily a bad thing (I prefer slightly speedy pills, because I like to dance and be active at parties and such).

If these pills were indeed a bit speedy... Then that could have also caused a bit of agitation. I've had some experiences with speed, and sometimes I can get a bit cranky. That could ALSO be a determining factor in what you felt during this roll.

Sleeping easily after a roll DOES NOT mean you have a bad pill. Quite the contrary-- if you're having more of a mellow, non hyper roll, then you probably got relatively clean pills.

I have NO research-based idea on the cross effects of birth control and MDMA. However, I have several female friends that are on BC and are able to roll just fine with no ill effects.

Having said all this... Before you roll again I would suggest:
1) Talk to your boyfriend, work out your problems. Be happy with eachother WITHOUT drugs, and you will be even better with each other when rolling.
2) Like I've said before... Give it at least 3 months. I know it sucks, but when you wait, it makes the roll more exciting (like waiting till christmas to open presents... or some shit like that =D )

I really appreciate all your advice. I just wanted some clarification and I've been feeling like maybe I "lost my magic" due to my binge and not knowing the consequences. Now I'm much more educated about what I'm doing.

Hey, we all have questions. I'm just glad I was able to help with some of them.

As far as losing the magic goes: one binge shouldn't do that for you. There's the CHANCE that it could, but it's not a super great one. Just make sure you take care of yourself from now on and be as responsible as you can with this drug. It can work wonders, and at the same time really screw you up in the long term.

Just be smart and you'll be fine!
I would whole-heartedly suggest you creep around this forum (especially the "EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT ECSTASY" link at the top of the page) for information.

I had done quite a bit of information gathering about MDMA before I ever tried it, but it amazes me how much more information I find everyday, and when it comes to something like this: the more you know, the safer you are. Don't ever be bashful to ask any other questions on this board that you might need guidance with. There will most likely be somebody that can answer virtually any question you may have!

Is it possible to roll and your pupils dilate only a little?

haha... for me, no. Even a small amount of X (enough to barely get a buzz) makes my pupils expand quite a bit, and when I'm legitimately rolling, you literally can see no color to my eyes as my pupils take up everything.

Some people have said they don't get big pupils whilst rolling, but that seems to be the minority. It's just one of those side effects you have to live with. (Personally... I like peeking in the mirror and seeing my huge pupils and eyes wide open!)

Well when I first rolled and every time after that except for this last time my pupils dilated a lot this past roll however they dilated a little.

Hrmm... I honestly don't know what to tell you about that!
I'm not exactly sure what it is about ecstasy that tends to make one's pupils dilate, so I have no idea why your's blew up sometimes but not the others.

Could be adulterants in the pills you took? All I know is, generally: rolling = big ass pupils!

Well I really doubt it has anything to do with that first week of you rolling so much, it doesn't really work that way.

Are you taking just e, or mixing with any other substance?

Do you mean you start feeling irritable while you are high, or once you begin coming down? I notice that in general, people vary greatly in what type of comedown they have with ecstasy. Personally, I never get a 'crash' I just feel less high but still happy, and generally just start getting sleepy, and wake up feeling fine the next day too and i am a total wimp when it comes to crashes, which is why I rarely do blow. lol. I know tons of people who are the same with e comedowns as me. I also know lots of people though who have pretty rough e crashes, and either get super depressed and in a bad mood once they start coming down and feel depressed the next day too sometimes, then some people get anxious and just feel irritable and annoyed by things, which might be your case. If you mean you are irritable while you should be super high and happy, then I'm not too sure. Some people just react differently to e.

It also can totally depend on what pills you ate and what exactly was in them. It might be the ones that use a lot of amphetamine as a filler that make you irritable. Not sure, but if it was just this specific time that you experienced it, it may have just been the type of pills you took.

I wouldn't worry too much though, its not unusual to feel that way after you peak and begin coming down from ecstasy. I find with most drugs it can be a matter of wind over matter too if all you are feeling is slight irritability. I also find that if I make sure I get proper fluid intake and have forced myself to eat or nibble on something, comedowns are dramatically improved.

Feeling altogether un-rolly is a somewhat normal effect of rolling (as confusing as that statement may sound- LOL!)....I have found, especially when I over-do it, that I have felt irritable on the come-up of MDMA. I have also managed to be depressed, antisocial, and tired while rolling on confirmed MDMA. Every time you roll tends to be a little bit different, but a big misconception is that MDMA makes everyone feel similarly relaxed, happy, social and energized. I tend to feel "on edge" when I come up, this has been the case since the beginning....the same is true for a lot of people.
