yep, in the beginnming that how it was helping but after 7-8 months of being there It HURT ME MORE THAN IT HELPED SO I FUCKING QUIT...........

Don't get me wrong, if you go in there with an honest desire to quit then it is possible, but even then I still think suboxone is the answer as it actually DOES have naloxone in a 1:4 ratio to keep people from banging other shit. Not only that, but going to the clinic every day and waiting around with a bunch of junkies is not the best environment for someone who is trying to quit; it is a lot easier to stay away from that lifestyle if you go home with a script of suboxone and not have to be around those people. I've never met someone who has successfully quit at a methadone clinic - they end up right back even if they finish. Maybe that is why they are called maintenance centers too, because that's all it does for most peoples addictions. But you need to want help in order to be helped - that is truly what it comes down to.

And MC, don't you think that is a little shady to do to your friend if he could actually supply you with that? I would be PISSED if I knew you did that in front of your counselor. At first I thought it was cool that you were going to get off that junk so quick and I was interested to how this would pan out for you but it seems like you are just sending yourself back to the pit. And seeing enough of this shit first hand I don't try to preach, but that script of oxy's aint gunna be enough sooner than later.

Its not like my counselor has my PHONE TAPPED.......... PLUS I WASENT EVEN TALKING TO ANYBODY ON THE OTHER LINE MAN, THERE WASENT EVEN ANYBODY ON THE PHONE I WAS JUST SAYING THAT SHIT TOO GET HIS BLOOD BOILING :) (and it did ) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK HIM, HE HAS LYED TO ME MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT ON ALL OF MY FINGERS AND TOES, IAM FUCKING SICK OF IT..................
 
Okay so ITS STILL DAY 2 its been 4 hours since ive dosed and Ive taken 2mgs of Klonopin , 4mgs of xanax ,4 beers, and ALMOST A HALF OF A BOTTLE OF VODKA, IAM ALMOST THERE LOL :)

Honestly IAM DOPE SICK, BUT HARDLY........... I REALLY EXPECTED THIS TO BE SO MUCH WORSE LOLOLOL Its really subtle while DRINKING VODKA....................

TOMMOROW I GO DOWN FROM 130mgs to 110mgs............................ i will update....................

I jump from 120mg's a day down to 10mgs then tried to go cold turkey. The first 3 days weren't to bad but around day 6 - 14 was horrid. I slept maybe 6 hours in the entire time frame, and not a good sleep, those bad wd sleeps where you're having bad dreams and your mind never rests. I was weak and couldn't handle it so I went out and bought 180mgs and downed them, waited the 2hours for them to kick in and felt amazing.

I hope it works for you, just try and remember all the pain you have put into it and if you have access to benzos take them to try and sleep through some of it and kill that "crawling out of your skin" feeling. But don't take to many, don't want to go from one habit to another.

iam already ADDICTED to Alcohol + Benzos , so it dosent matter.................:(

jesus, that alcohol is making you eliminate the methadone faster than you normally would. If you don't drink during this period you would be way better off and it wont be as severe. That could be why the methadone wasn't holding you...because of the constant drinking. Do you get DT's when you stop drinking? I hate saying this but if so I would get on additional benzo's. I.E. Valium and taper off that. The opiates wont kill ya, but the alcohol and benzos can if severe enough (which it seems from your posts).
 
I'll go ahead and speculate about an upcoming update:

TODAY HURT LIKE FUCKIN HELL I"M STAYIN ON THIS DOSE! But seriously, this isn't near AS BAD as I thought! But I'M DRUNK! We'll see what happens, it's only been ONE WEEK and I'm starting to doubt but I took my ROXI (I take 8every day and use AS PRESCRIBED), seriously, I think this is JUST FINE, but I HURT LIKE FUCKIN HELL!

To be followed by:

TITLE: METHADONE WITHDRAWAL REMEDIES

What helps? I took 15 ROXICET TODAY and I have 30 left, and still have TWO WEEKS to get through! Any ideas????

Followed by either an admission of relapse or a vanishing act.

Anyway today is day 3- I went to the clinic and they BROUGHT MY DOSE DOWN AGAIN, Iam now taking 110mgs and I actually feel MININMAL WD Symptoms :)

If anybody has any questions please feel free to ask............

i DONT EVEN HAVE ANY ROXICODONE LEFT, I gave em all to my friend for a 'favor' , IAM TAKING NO ROXICODONE AND I FEEL FINE........

PS- Roxicet only has 5-10mgs in each pill, dumbass. ROXICODONE has 15-30mgs in each pill......QUITE A DIFFERENCE ID SAY.........
 
80 mg of Methadone fucked me up so bad I had to call for a ride home. I never in my life thought Methadone was as strong as it is. I could see someone going in the clinic with a bullshit story just to score and OD on the methadone.

I found 40 mg was the right amount for me. But I must say it will kick the habit.
If you were to compare 40 mg of methadone to Oxy. What would the mg of Oxy be to obtain the same high? I took 80 mg of Oxy before but it never felt as strong as 40 mg of methadone. I dont know if it's just me but methadone would be on the same scale as H.

When I was trying to get in my clinic, I met a few folks who went there simply to get high; i.e. they weren't actually strung out when they started going there. Now they are.... 8)
 
Yesterday, I took 5 xanax (2mg bars) and a 2mg klonopin through-out the ENTIRE day, i also polished off, 4 or 5 beers , and A 750mL Bottle of Vodka...................

Does alcohol make Methadone wear off faster???????

Theoretically it should, but to what extent clinically it's unknown, but alcohol is thought to enhance the activity of the enzyme that detoxifies methadone

yes it will make the methadone not hold you as long at it could

of course its not that bad you have not even begun yet

have you not been listening?methadone withdrawel does not even start for a couple of days if you were to cold turkey

the way you going about it will take a few days to get going but trust me it will get going


if you think you are dopesickon day two you dont even know what dope sick is


like i said in your other thread i went from monday morning 110mg to friday morning 110mg and i was not sick

methadone has a really long half life and builds up in your body it takes time to deplete the reserve but it will happen


i am glad you feel allright and that you think your will power will get you through this but i am afraid that this is not a case of mind over matter will power or not the fact is at the rate you are detoxing there is no question that you are in for a rough ride

I can't wait to see what happens! I guess if the sick is bad enough MC won't even be able to post. That would be a shame...
 
This is the most uninteresting thread I have ever read. For 3 reasons...

1.) You dont even plan on quitting opiates. This would actually be helpful and interesting if you were quitting methadone to be totally free of opiates. I cant believe some actually care about how you plan on detoxing so you can use again.

2.) Youre contradicting yourself. You type out an example of a coversation you had with a friend of yours on the phone, even quoting things that he said on the other end, then 2 posts later say it never happend, you were just faking the phone call. If you were faking it, why not say that to us in the first place so we dont think you actually had the conversation? Or wait, I guess youre just trying to fool us just like youre doctor so you get some kind of attention out of the whole situation.

3.) This isnt even meant for OD. Its journal material. No one reads journals, you say? Thats because half the shit written in them is stupid stuff like this. As said before, shit like this is what gives methadone clinics a bad name. No one takes them seriously because the people that use them dont take them seriously.

Honestly, I hope this fails for you so you can come running back to the same clinic and they can deny you help, then youll see what everyone who doesnt have the chance to get in to one has to deal with.
