so my problem started out well i was rolling, but im putting it in CB because its turned into a combined problem with e and weed. about a month ago i started getting a lazy eye when i roll, ive only rolled twice since but its happened both times. i did some research and decided this was a normal side effect and i shouldnt be worried. anyways, about a week and a half ago i was sitting around smoking with a couple buddies. about 30 to 40 minutes after smoking a few bongs, they started looking at me with some humor. i asked what the problem was and discovered my eye was being just as lazy as when i roll! ever since then its been doing it just about everytime i smoke other then when i make a constant effort to stop it. i smoke a few times everyday. ive never really heard or seen anybody get a lazy eye when they smoke so i was wondering if anyone else has this problem? is it normal? ill try to get a pic up in a little bit

stop doing e and stop smoking would probably stop the problem. Sometimes when im really stoned and dont have my glasses on one of my eyes looks lazy, one of my friends has a lazy eye when he smokes weed as well. Its probably not a big issue

It's not the eye, it's the eyelid - one eyelid is more open than the other - creating a lazy eye look. If you look carefully at the picture you will notice both pupils are looking in the same direction.... the only difference is the left eye is more closed.

And heavy eyelids is a very common effect and everyone I know who smokes will have got it at one point - you just happen to get it in just one eye ;) Creating the lazy eye effect.

It is nothing to worry about.

Nothing to worry about, you have a lazy eye, so what lol, if it bothers you then .....idno?

i guess the picture doesnt fully capture what i was tryin to say but my eye is like really really lazy if you see it in real time. idk ill stop bitchin and deal with it i guess def just being over paraniod

It doesn't look like that big of a deal to me. I kind of have the same thing, and whenever I'm fucked up (on all substances other than amphetamines/coke) it gets worse. I wouldn't really worry about it. If you really can't stand it, stop getting high.

it seems like a bigger deal than it is because it's your face. And you see your face all the time, and you know every little attribute/aspect of it. But other people don't study your face (or care about it) as much as you do. yeah an asymmetrical face is a little off putting to others but there isn't much you can do about it.

So either stop getting high or learn to live with it. Mine is just like yours. I've learned to live with it. No point in being so self conscious that it keeps you from living your life.

edit; add to this the fact that your probably even more paranoid when your smoking weed. And IME it's the kind of thing that when you notice it, it draws all your attention. Paying too much attention to it AND being paranoid is a shitty combination. If you're confident and learn to live with it, other people will too. Your attitude towards it and how it effects your personality is way more influential than the actual psychical aspect itself. Kinda like how fat/ugly/stupid people who are cool with their fat/ugly/stupid-ness, just go about their life normally. People who obsess about their shortcomings are much more fucked up than people with worse shortcomings who are cool with it. If all that makes any sense.

The droopy lid is called ptosis not lazy eye.
Perhaps you already have a slight ptosis to begin with.
Please post a non-drugged photo.
There is nothing you can do about it except stop taking drugs or get over it.

ok you have ptosis, and it appears that there is some flushing of the skin around the eye too. you need to look and see if there is a difference between the size of the pupils. if the affected eye has a smaller pupil than the normal one, i would be concerned about horners syndrome (or something like it). i am having a hard time figuring out how weed could cause this. horners is a defect in sympathetic innervation. this is odd and it needs to be checked out by a physician.

another thing that comes to mind is cranial nerve III palsy, maybe caused by something happening in the cavernous sinus.

who the fuck knows, it might be that one eye is more sensitive to light and pot makes it worse.

but if there is something wrong, maybe the marijuana is making it bad enough to be noticed.

not all people with Horner's have anhydrosis
if it was the facial flushing would be on the normal side

3rd NP? Don't be freaking the boy out! I don't even see this a partial.

I need pictures to make a better armchair diagnosis or please make an appt with my secretary.

wow thanks for the info. i can definitely just learn to live with it because im not going to stop smoking or rolling. im not so much worried about how i look i just wasnt sure if i was in any danger because i just plainly put havent seen anybody else with this side effect and didnt know it was relatively normal. i didnt want my eye to get stuck like that or any other horrible things to happen. im going to try a lower dose of e next time i roll. and ive been recently discovering my eye mostly gets like this from weed in darker places when looking into light, IE sitting in a room playing video games. im eating some mushrooms later today so well see if it happens with psychs as well? hmmm should be interesting.

yea looks like a droopy eyelid... happens to me too. just try and keep ur eyes wide open whem you blaze so its not so bad..
