It started out by me doing an OD [yes, attempted suicide [8th time], and I learned even more, lack of drugs and help for my disorders that I still have not gotten, NOT THE POINT OF THIS POST] on acet. of 9,000-9,400 mg plus 3 NSAID, 300mg, so 900mg as well.
I waited 2 days, went to the ER for pain, I thought it was my liver. Went there, liver was completely fine, no tylenol or nsaids in my body.
Went to the ER yet again, the next day for worse pain, again liver in-tact!
Went to the ER AGAIN, at 12AM of a Tuesday, so Wednesday
. Finally, progress, at a very shitty hospital. The pain was my kidneys. They gave me IV fentanyl and morphine for the pain, which was awesome because it was hell. Anyway, they still didn't know why my kidneys were having issues at all... I never use NSAIDS or tylenol for pain, they don't work, so it wasn't long term use..
I also have been clean off alcohol for 2-3 months, and the drugs I do, do (which i have also been clean on) do NOT hurt the kidneys.
I end up being transferred to see nephrologist, to Wasusa, then Marshfield, St. Josephs. By the time I got to St. Josephs, my pain was gone. IV Fluids, because I couldn't retain water, is what kept me healthy, making my kidneys do less work as well... over that time, they did no tests, just put me on IV fluids for 3 days, we all thought I was better... Go home, for less than 12 hours, go into pain again.... AND, have VAST THIRST, LIKE EXTREME, as well as peeing liters in hours.... I get transferred to St. Josephs because that's where all my doctors are to help me, roughly 10 doctors were on staff for me plus a nephrologist and an endocrinologist the second time I went to St. Joes.
This time, they did light use of IV for about 6 hours, and let me drink as much as possible because they thought this was all due to my kidney injury (unknown cause -- we NEVER found out why) and more oral water makes them re hydrate and heal.
Then they did a water deprivation test for 13 hours, with blood tests up the ass... I was poked 30+ times this past week, my arm looks terrible. The water dep. test showed me that I did not have diabetes insipidus, forgot to note, THAT IS WHY I had the water deprivation test.
The next day, they did an Adrenal test, with a shot to the stomach, another shit-ton of blood tests, my salt cravings were not an issue (I craved salty foods when I had an appetite, so they did this, and my sodium level was high, so it was quite unusual).
At this point, my kidneys are finally healing without IV fluids and my urine is finally concentrated (yay). They wanted an MRI on my brain to see if my p. gland was an issue, the MRI was mistakenly scheduled the next day, so this is good to see how long I last without IV fluids.... the MRI went well, results are yet to be heard, but the IV benzodiazepine is the best rush ever, I am an avid user of benzos and opiates and benzo IV obliterates the euphoria of opiates... YES, I have terrible anxiety, this is why I got it...
That being said, I got to go home, healing properly, with benzos in my system, so it was a great day for me to go home and start healing on my own. What a scare though... I am now trying to live a happier life and never attempt to kill myself again, heh..
Anyway, this was one helluva near-death experience with failing kidneys [twice].... Sorry if this is a messy read, figured I'd share, plus it's my reason of absence.
- - - - IV drugs are awesome, and I always wanted to try Fentanyl, I HATE moprhine, never did pills because morphine is not my opiate of choice but fent. is great just way too short... IV benzos are something I should not get into... they are way better. - - - By the way , my judgement was right about morphine, the only opiate to give my body more pain and a raging head ache ( yes the head ache is common side effect )... the morphine gave me a shitty brain fog I couldn't drop for hours and hours! - - - -
