I prefer to speak to folks face to face but cannot stand AA nor NA. So I have accepted reality and find myself mildly addicted to smoking gunpowder and occasionally clear which meth is called on the streets here. No need for a whole life story but it is taking a toll on our bank account and health not to mention loss of sense of time. much time of mine is spent on finding ways to smoke, searching for high quality. I have been smoking ? for 2.5 years given I did have 17 days on subs for a bit. I TRIED GETTING OFF THEN WENT RIGHT BACK TO SMOKING MY FAVED GUNPOWDER. As for the clear I now only get 5 bags with a month between. I wish for support from my doctors without subs. I am too poor from.my habit to try types of kratom and wonder if weaning off the drugs with spacing and lowering dose3 myself is best? Since I get very aggitated and restless at night, I take calming herbs or benzos to sleep- realizing it is not an answer. I HAVE TRIED SUB CLINICS THE DOCS NEVER CARE ABOUT MY INDIVIDUAL CASE OR HEALTH; WHETHER THE BUS IS LATE; WHATEVER LIFE EXCUSE; BEING HUMAN; YADAYADAYADA. Self reliance is my only option. Does anyone else have similar feelings or experiences? Tips for self reliant detox ways that worked for you? I want to be my happy peaceful self without drugs again! ps i know of herbal nervines and mushroom extracts, kava, kratom, magnesium, c a d minerals + aminos multivitamin and epsom baths nourishing meals (thanks to ebt) yes it all helps (no I don't take it all at once). I am in process of clearing my living space of clutter and focusing what I wish to uplift my mind & living environment. I have a partner and I choose to live and sleep seperate- only because we both use. Thanks I appreciate thoughtful feedback from seasoned vets.

Welcome to Bluelight Psilocybinist :)

I'm glad to hear that you're seeking help with your drug use. Bluelight is big on harm reduction, and we even have a sub-forum designated to those struggling with addiction: The Dark Side. You may also find Sober Living useful in your road to recovery.

Personally, i too am struggling with with meth use. It is taking a toll on my bank account, and causing problems with my health. I find that the best way to self detox is to, first and foremost, surround your self with people trying to accomplish your same goal. And that we can help with. Second, i would find some sort of substitute for the drug, like coffee, energy drinks, etc. You're right, using drugs to get off drugs is not an answer, and that's why i prefer to use substitutes. Anyway, i may not be the best help since i too am still using, but like i said, check out those sub-forums and you'll have a lot of support.

We are a very helpful and non-judgmental community, and glad to have you apart of it.

Best wishes,
