Ok, so I'm new here, and I need some advice.
Basicly I've been using for 10years now and for the last 7 of them I've been using IV using.
I really abused my veins badly - old pins, no tourney, generally poking about and through them and generally destroyed them quite quickly through impatient banging up and also banging up subutex (bupernorphine).
The last couple of years I've ended up going in my groin. Although I have spent about a year in prison in that time and also I only use a couple of times a week now, so I thought I could get away with it... I also almost always use clean, sharp new pins now... But I'm still doing snowballs (crack n smack). %)
I'm now really concerned, cos my groin on the left side has been aching for weeks now. I have been giving it a rest and using the right side but now that is aching even worse than the left (as of today I had two snowballs earlier)!!
I've also been getting aching legs and numb toes (but no swelling) and I used to get this before anyway due to poor circulation in my extremities (I have raynaulds syndrome - however you spell it!?).
The aching is kinda like a 'kicked in the nuts' feeling but not as intense.
Does this mean that I'm on my way to DVT if I carry on? Does this mean that I'm close to it? I'm scared.
Can anyone here give any advice on how to find the 'blood bank' (dont know if that slang is universal or not - but its what people round here call the arm equivalent of the groin - ie a deep vein).
Please guys, can I have some advice other than 'smoke it' or 'snort it'
I only use a couple of times a week these days, and I love IV use
so I'm really keen on keeping that going. I've noticed that my veins in my neck seem to have grown back and I also have blue lines in the palms of my hands these days too. So maybe those are options too. But I would really love to get some advice regarding the 'blood bank' or other good places to go. So I can at least rotate my sites a bit more than left and right groin.
Also I go to the gym 2 to 4 times a week, is this good or bad for my groin? I feel scared when I'm doing leg work outs that I'm going to damage myself worse.... 8(
