My flower died today
due to habitual neglect
or mistaken identity.
Life's second death
and its final farewell
to the garden from which I stole it.

The petals dropped away.
Scarlet tips perspiring
upon the surface of a glass top table
and I watched from underneath
as its life soaked breath
settled beside its wilting stem.

This cold snap late in May
has broken yet another
of the many children bestowed
upon its harrowed, harried grounds.
Palms facing skyward in unspoken apology
I returned it to the home
from which it came.

Its shadow slipped away
but the loss goes unrecorded
save by the smiling lips of Juno.
Another seasonal fatality
in this cycle neverending.

My flower died today
Or maybe I did

My flower died today
Or maybe I did

when the season changes
comes wet and stormy weather.
flowers wlit and fade
but true friends last forever.

depression caused by rain
seems to never want to re-lent.
as you look out the window and wonder...
why hasnt the sun come out yet?

so take our love
as something thats warm
cause u're always in my heart
theres a fire there...
just for you.
cant you hear how the fames roar?

up all night, you really do have the gift of an artist's sensitivity.

Here you've captured the melancholy of life's little deaths in a beautiful flow of words.

I hope you take your talent seriously. And keep it up.

I commented on this before and am absolutely stunned by this piece.

All these emotions bottled up that a single piece written by someone I unfortunately don't know as well as I could summed up so apparently effortlessly.

I look forward to reading more of your future work, sweetie.

I'm even gonna go as far as to say that I'll be looking back over the ones you've written in the past :)

^Just breath taking. :)
Very impressed.
Beautiful imagery, tied together with a killer structure. You're very talented.

Thanks everyone. It's different from what I normally write. I guess I'm only now starting to realise that the beauty/ sadness in the world isn't only found in love and its many ironies. Sometimes you find pain in the most peculiar of places.

sounds like you are growing,, i have always thought of you as a good writter, but now it seems you are blooming ;)

growth is good in oneself :)
