ok Ive put a few songs on here in the past but this is my absolute favorite song of all time, as far as Im concerned this song is easily the greatest song in creation, it is ofcourse Third Eye by TOOL.the lyrics dont really do justice to the experience that is this song so if anyone out there has the mp3 to this (spencer) then please put it here so those who dont know it can hear the song. If youre listening to this for the first time, turn off all the lights in your house, lay down close your eyes and have the music up so loud that you can feel it.
Third Eye
*the intro on the live version is some words by Tim Leary and on the recorded one its some snippets of the late prophet Bill Hicks*
"see I think drugs have done some good things for us, I really do, and if you dont beleive drugs have done good things for us do me a favor, go home tonight and take all your albums, all your tapes and all your CD's and burn 'em. cause you know what, the musicians who made all that great music thats enhanced your lives throughout the years...... rrrrrrreal fucken high on drugs"-Bill Hicks
"today a young man on acid realised that all matter is mearly energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one conciousness experiencing itself subjectively, theres no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves.heres tom with the weather"-Bill Hicks
"its not a want of drugs its a want of personal freedom is what it is ok keep that in mind at all times. thank you."-Bill Hicks, another dead hero
Dreamin of that face again
Its bright and blue and shimmerin
Grinning wide and comforting me
With its three warm and wild eyes
On my back and tumbelling
Down that hole and back again
Rising up and wiping the webs
And the dew from my withered eyes
In Out In Out In
A childs rhyme stuck in my head
Said that life was but a dream
I spent so many years in question
To find Ive known this all along
So good to see you
Ive missed you so much
Im so glad its over
Ive missed you so much
I came out to watch you play
Why are you running away?
I came out to watch you play
Why are you running?
Shrouding all the ground around me
Is this the holy crow above me
Black as holes within a memory
Blue as our new second sun
I stick my hand into the shadows
And pull the peices from the sand
Try and attempt to reasemble
See just who I might have been
I do not recognise the vessel
But the eyes seem so familiar
Like phosphorescent desert buttons
Singing one familiar song....
"So good to see you
Ive missed you so much
Im so glad its over
Ive missed you so much
I came out to watch you play
Why are you running away?
I came out to watch you play
Why are you running away?"
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE
So good to see you once again
I thought that you were hiding
You thought that I had run away
Chasing the tail of dogma
I opened my eye
I opened my eye
I opened my eye
And there we were
So good to see you once again
I thought that you were hiding from me
You thought that I had run away
Chasing the trail of smoke and reason
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYE
PRYING OPEN MY THIRD EYEEEEeeeee....
