I KNOW they use midazolam, acerpromazine and haloperidol in dogs and cats for general sedation purposes...I'm sure they would of also helped settle doggy down from his LSD.

then again, as you say, LSD lethal, and probably did not do any harm to the dog.
 
^Exactly, if one of my pets accidentally munched my cid, which wouldn't occur since it's either in the freezer or in my mouth, I wouldn't take it to a vet-if they are anything like us when they trip, then I'm sure they would prefer a comfortable, familiar environment and being around their companion/'master', than in a strange place like a vet. They hate vet's at the best of times!
 
if one of my critters ate it, I'd probably give it a species correct dosage of a benzo and let it trip at home, as setting of a vet would scary as shit. (the benzo because its not expecting to trip/understand a trip, and I would want to remove its anxiety)
 
I guess I have a drug dog, cause she seemed to like it. Whenever I'm smoking bud she comes in the room sniffing the air..gets really sedated and looks satisfied. Then the munchies come.

My dog gets diazepam that prescribed by the vet. The vet suggested to give him 20mg on new years eve cause he is scared of the fireworks. The dog is 18kg. He couldn't even walk straight anymore, lol. But it did it's job.

I took the rest of it. 8)
 
Sadly I've seen many dogs that were dosed on phish tour.... never saw anyone actually dose the dog.

I am vehemently against getting animals intoxicated (unless they are taking medicine as prescribed by a vet). Whenever someone blows cannabis smoke or has an animal drink a beer I leave the room because I get so pissed.
 
Poor things. I don't believe in getting animals high in anyway on purpose because they don't have a choice. My friend as a Pom puppy and actually will willing eat the seeds and stems but I kinda have an issue with it. They say she goes looking for it..still. Accidents to happen. Once I thought I dosed my kitten on a lil MDMA I was so worried. But I think I worried for nothing he seems 100% fine.

A pot smoker friend always blows it in their cats face, they say she likes it but it fucking annoys me.

Ditto. This shit enrages me. Fortunately it's been a long long time since I've seen anyone do this to an animal. I will attempt to prevent it if I ever see it again.

Yeah I had a similar situation when my friends dog found someone's stash and ate like 4 of his OC 80's. We were all freaking out cuz he was just a little pitbull puppy. We called the vet and they said the same thing to force him to swallow hydrogen peroxide. I poured some in a bottle cap and managed to shove it down his throat and he started puking all over the house(in retrospect we should have done this outside) he was fine after about 20 minutes of puking though....saved the dogs life.
 
My downstairs neighbors trap both of their cats in a small wooden box and blow bong smoke into it.

They know how i feel about it (to a certain degree) but I don't think they realize how badly I really feel about it.

Terrible.

Bitch slap them or report them? People who get animals high are cruel.

It's one thing if they do something like accidentally eat something but it's wrong and dangerous to get them high.

I've heard from vets that pot can be very dangerous for dogs to eat or be around and it's probably not good for cats either.
 
^ That's probably just an opinion, the worst that i've seen/heard happen is the animal getting anxious/paranoid just like any person would if stoned for the first time and not knowing wtf is going on. Some animals get quite accustomed to it. Trapping an animal is pretty fucked but when it comes up to you and basks in the smoke when it could easily walk away i dont see an issue.
 
You know how when humans take a bit of acid and trip together, it's almost as if you can hear/think/feel what the other tripper is thinking? That sorta stuff...

Do you reckon if you took a bit of acid with a dog/cat or some sort of animal, you would get to that point where you both look at each other and burst out in laughter (whatever animals do) or both form some sort of special bond with the belief that your thoughts are being synchronized.. which would be a new experience for an animal

This is the next step in being able to talk to animals!

re hydrogen peroxide: a datum:

So I'm awesome and accidentally drank a gulp of a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution that had been exposed to air for a couple of hours (I was sterilizing a mouthguard). Rather worried, I called poison control, and I was told that the worst I could expect would be minor to moderate throat irritation and vomiting (this was prior to mentioning how long it sat out). I was fine (it just tasted a little sour). So there's the vote from that expert.

Come on you can't speak for all animals. My cat looooves it. I never intentionally blew weed into my cat's face until I noticed it coming around every time I'd smoke. Eventually I was like "okay kitty I don't wanna be a dick and smoke all this weed in front of you" so I blew it into his face and just started rolling around on the floor purring. What about that sounds like my cat did not enjoy it?
