my arm is getting wose...? reason for concern? (abcess)

Your on Opiophile too,right,buddy? Isn't that a hassle,being on 2 forums?
But to the arm, that looks like the biggest miss I ever seen, try to get it
trained,I've had this done and it barely hurts, but by all means have a doctor
do it,you will feel much better without a spoonfull of puss in your system.first
sentence I mean skoat, rest s1ck,s1ck,you will probably have the bad memories
fade once its healed and gone.on comes some good d.o.c.+clean spike and
its "what the fuck",happened to me after 2week coma,I swore NEVER to
touch the Stuff again, xept weed.also had kidneys wrecked, dialysis for
6month,nothing helped.one GOOD opiate hit and you will always want to
repeat, its our pleasure center in the brain i'm sure.

RETHINK IT!!!! There is nothing good that will come out of shooting up all the time. Unless you consider death or infections and jail a good thing.

It is a vicious cycle. When I was an IV drug user I had my fair share of problems... The needle becomes an addiction by itself. Trust me, you want to avoid this like the plague....

another reminder of what this shit looks like up close and personal like:

I want to see new pictures of the thing after you drained it too man... my curiosity needs to be satiated.

]ok heres some good pictures. i took the gauze out of my wound accidentally. apparantly, youre supposed to leave about an inch of gauze suffed into the wound to keep iit from healing.

he said to take it out on saturday, and well it was ALMOST saturday, like 10pm when the gauze came out...

it is looking better

i thinkyou will be left with a small scar and probably a little dent

overall that was not that bad of an abcess

the guy who works the needle exchange i go to has on about 4 inches around like a big circle it was the sickest thing i have ever seen i dont know why i let him show it to me today

i cant believe it he is the guy i get all my supplies and needles from and he has the worst looking abcess i have ever seen

your looks pretty small how much puss caame out?

i really think it will heal good and probably prettty fast
well i mean like a couple of weeks fast

does it still hurt?

good luck with that and keep it clean man

it actually hurts worse

it was tender before, and now theres a gash in it.

about a shotglass worth of puss came out after he squeezed it really well.

this makes me very happy. i pray that you dont.

I'm glad you went and got it drained like people here suggested you do! I hope you feel better and the pain lessens to a comfortable level atleast. Glad you got some norcos out of the whole ordeal, that must be very irritating, being its on the crook of your arm! I hope the best for you man, it's looking pretty good in your post-op pics. Keep taking care of it as instructed and you should be fine with minimal scarring.

love in vein?!?

..im already craving the needle again tho...

sure you are, and the more you heal the more you are going to crave.

but this thread will be here as a good reminder if you start to forget why you wanted to quit.

i wound up with a bad case phlebitis some 12 years ago, and still get the chills thinking about it. and recently went back to the stick and gave myself a good hard lumpy hematoma... fuck i was so scared it would get infected, but it began to recede, after reading and viewing through this....

i dont want it any mo fo sho!

i pray you dont either s1ck...!

You're not home free yet. If the reddened area is hot to the touch, that indicates that the infection is still in the arm.....If you get a fever, get your ass back to the ER pronto, as a fever indicates septicemia, which occurrs when the bacteria spill out into your bloodstream......conversely, if your arm starts to flake up and peel, that is the first good sign of recovery and will indicate that your body is ridding itself of the bacteria.

From one who has been there.

oh man this thread was a trip and a half. was worried about ya!

glad you got it under control. these things can be super scary and dangerous but luckily are quickly solvable by modern medical assistance.

Good to know you're better man! Just make sure you keep that arm sanitary! Wash it every night with a hydrogen peroxide water mixture (1:1) and keep fresh bandages on it!

As long as you keep taking your heavy duty antibiotics you should be rid of the infection soon. The worst part is over! Props for taking it like a man!

i dont want to get sick (lol, get it??? =8)) but GOOOOOD do i miss that rush......

ill start by saying that im DONE with the needle after this. i like my body too much to continue using the way i was.QUOTE]

If only this had been true. :(

I knew an old junkie that had one that looked exactly like yours and he drained it himself using a clean needle. A real nasty looking white puss came out, but it did go down. I don't recommend this of course.
